‘Ilhas Futuras’ é uma Temporada focada na possibilidade. A partir do trabalho e universo do artista islandês Kolbeinn Hugi, projetam-se modelos alternativos de convivência e empatia para se especular sobre economias de espaço, ecologia e relações inter-espécies. Co-organizada com a equipa curatorial do Cycle Music and Art Festival (Islândia), a Temporada #3 convida um conjunto de artistas e projetos que exploram as tensões e oportunidades de futuros que se imaginam entre a realidade e a ficção.

‘Ilhas Futuras’ propõe um programa híbrido que se desenvolve entre as artes visuais, a performance e a música. A Temporada arranca com a exposição individual de Kolbeinn Hugi, e, ao longo de 2 meses (11 fev - 08 abr), apresenta várias performances, acolhe um programa de filmes no Cinema Calheta, e o ‘Mesa Posta’ volta a juntar chefs e artistas na casa da vaga. Há ainda encontros e conversas, residências artísticas para o desenvolvimento de novos projetos, e o programa da ‘Escola Vaga’ inclui seminários, formações e workshops. Em abril, a Temporada #3 encerra com um mini-festival.

Introducing the artists behind the performance Lunch / Hádegisverður:

First one of them is Erlend Auestad Danielsen.

Oslo based Erlend Auestad Danielsen (NO) is a professional dancer with family relations in the Faroe Islands. Since graduating from the National Academy of the Arts in Oslo (2015) with a BA in dance, Erlend has explored through dance and physical movements, stories about the ambivalence experienced when taking difficult choices in life.

Erlend has from the start of his carriere created dance pieces and worked as a dancer for various directors such as Mia Habib, Ane Aass and Hanne Trap Friis. Within the collaboration of The New Nordic Creation Project, Erlend is interested to represent genuine human relations of our Nordic community, beyond hierarchical, cultural and linguistic differences.

You are welcome to have lunch on the 25th of October. It is served in Tjarnarbíó, Reykjavík, Iceland, at 8 p.m.

Lunch / Hádegisverður is a first artistic creation by our Network. The performance invites you to the take part on the process of the encounter. This experimental, multidisciplinary art piece is created with a non-hierarchical method in Silence Residency, Finnish Lapland.

Around the table there are 8 artists from different artistic backgrounds and home countries: Erlend Auestad Danielsen (NO), Sophie Fetokaki (CY), Anni-Kristiina Juuso (Sápmi), Mari Keski-Korsu (FIN), Emma Katinka Staffansdotter Langmoen (NO), Júlía Mogensen (IS) Riikka Vuorenmaa (FIN) and Jacob Zimmer (CAN / WHITEHORSE).

Greetings from Greenland! It’s been good, our time has been filled with meetings, gigs, performances, planning the future and of course, the Platform discussion, where Erlend Auestad Danielsen opened up the artistic project of the network: Lunch / Hádegisverđur.

Nuuk Nordisk Kulturfestival still continues for one day, and we hope to meet more artists and future collaborators. If you are around, just pull our sleeves, come to talk and join us.

Northern Platform #5 at Nuuk Nordisk Kulturfestival is getting closer.

In the morning of the 12th of October, we will be discussing about peripheric identity and hear about the process of the Network's upcoming performance: Lunch / Hádegisverður. We have the honor to have one of the artists, Erlend Auestad Danielsen, telling us about the process on behalf of the artist group.
