The studio “Fons Hickmann m23” is among today's most awarded design studios. It varies a lot in size and scope: “There are seven of us at the moment, sometimes there are four, sometimes fourteen” says m23. The Berlin studio focuses on the design of complex communication systems. Its activities include corporate design, book and poster design, magazine design and digital media. The work is conceptual and analytical but at the same time has an enormous sense of humour. Fons Hickmann is professor for Graphic Design / Communication Design at the Berlin University of the Arts. He is a member of the ADC, TDC New York and the AGI Alliance Graphique Internationale.
