In these "new normal days" you may get the feeling everything is taken care of, especially in Germany the government would fund the struggling artists.
Well certainly not if you are an independent one !
A shout out to appreciate and protect the preciousness of self-funded performing arts !
Support your favourite theatre, performance, dance companies before they disappear!

Don´t take art for granted!
An important message from Familie Flöz:
Theater/dance companies all over the world are among the most severely affected realities by the spread of the Corona Virus. While shops and restaurants are slowly reopening, workers are going back to their offices, theatres remain closed. Theaters, concert halls, opera houses, cinemas have been the first spaces to close down and they will be the last ones to fully reopen. The next theatre season is already compromised: theatres, facing uncertainties about the rules under which (and if) they will be able to restart again their programmes, are already cancelling performances scheduled for next year.
While some theatre companies enjoy and live from public funds, there are thousands of artists, among them Families Flöz, who live and can produce manly thanks to their touring activity and the affection of their audience. Theatres have been able to present and schedule Familie Flöz and other among your favorite theatre companies because you bought the tickets to see their performances, and these theatre companies in turn were able to create the shows you loved mainly because of the tickets you bought. But closed theatres mean no performances, and no performances mean no tickets sold, and no tickets sold mean no income. While public institutions throughout the world promised help for the cultural sector, no concrete support structure has yet been established to secure our future and our survival. So now, much more than ever, we need the support of our audience to keep working, to keep creating and to keep performing for you.
The future and the very existence of Familie Flöz and many other theatre and dance companies you have watched and loved is now in danger. We can disappear, before the threat of the virus does.
Don’t take art for granted. Support your favorite theatre company (whichever it is!)
Yours Familie Flöz (www.floez.net)
