Frankey & Sandrino’s creative and personal lives are uniquely intertwined between cities. The German duo, based in Essen and Berlin, respectively, have been making music together for just over a decade. In that time, their rich, detailed style has graced the upper-echelons of house and techno’s worthiest institutions, garnering a legacy of releases on labels such as Innervisions, Mule Musiq, Kompakt and Diynamic. The impact of tracks such as ‘Acamar’, ‘Wega’ or ‘Ways of the Sun’ has paved the way for the unstoppable rise of Frankey & Sandrino within the global electronic music scene. However, it’s with the humble commitment to their craft that the duo still finds time to push the boundaries of their musical partnership, still chasing transcendence in the studio, many years since they first made it happen.

DISRUPTION 🌀

A star gets too close to a black hole.
Gravity takes over.
The star is stretched, torn apart, disrupted — a Tidal Disruption Event. 🌌

We took that idea and turned it into sound.

About 30 years ago, one of John Digweed’s Twilo mixes opened up a completely different musical world to me. It shaped the way I listened to electronic music and influenced the music I was drawn to for many years afterwards.

A lot has happened since then.

Today, John and I are friends, and every now and then we still find ourselves talking about music for hours. I really value those conversations and the connection we have through music.

And now, 30 years later, there’s Live at Twilo.

Seeing four tracks from Sum Over Histories on this record, including music by Frankey & Sandrino, connects a few dots for me.

Back then, a Twilo mix by John Digweed opened a new musical world for me.

Today, our music is part of his return to Twilo.

That’s a nice circle to close.

Thank you, John. ❤️

Dear Closed Eye Dancers,

sitting here with Marina, reflecting on ten years. A decade of infinite possibilities.

In April 2016, we released the very first single on our label. Now, in what feels like a blink of an eye, 10 years and 66 releases later, we look back with a lot of pride, gratitude and excitement.

So we decided to collapse a decade of memories, music and infinite possibilities into one special moment: Sum Over Histories - Collapsed.

A compilation featuring the artists who shaped the sound of the label over the years. Artists who have all released with us before, and many of whom have become long time companions and an important part of our story.

Starting this Friday, one single will emerge every week until the end of the year, when the full compilation will finally be complete.

We’re incredibly excited to share these tracks with you, one by one.

This Friday, we kick things off with Frankey & Sandrino ‘Hold On’ and the full VA pre-order.

For believers in conscious listening. 🖤

GET IT WHILE ITS HOT 🔥

Last Sunday on Elba was something special.

No phones on the dancefloor, just one or two cameras here and there to prove it actually happened. And honestly, that’s how we like it. More presence, more connection, better energy.

Thank you guys for an intense and beautiful night. We felt every bit of it. ❤️

And since the first video is also a little reminder: our new single Rock A Lott with the amazing Charlotte Riby is out now on Toshiya Kawasaki

Thank you for all the love and support. 🖤
