Salomé Chatriot’s paintings begin with volumetric bodies developed on the computer. In IDLE FORM 25, the body appears as a polished, biomorphic structure—somewhere between torso, organ and shell—translated into enamel paint on aluminium.

“In the medium of painting, Chatriot’s torsos appear with a metallic, pearlescent sheen. The images recall the multiple perspectives of modern painting, but perhaps even more strongly the cross-sectional and 3D ultrasound images produced by digital medical imaging. A flawless body, perfect and moist as if still coated in amniotic fluid, opens like an empty seashell – or like the calyx of a carnivorous plant.”

Last week to see Lena Marie Emrich’s solo exhibition „I left the window open for you“ at Kunsthalle Osnabrück.

Moving between sculpture, spatial installation and performative gesture, the exhibition transforms the corridor into an in-between space: a place that invites us to slow down, move through it consciously and reconnect with our own perception.

In a time shaped by acceleration and increasingly digital experiences, Emrich creates a space for physical presence, sensory experience and encounter.

A short introduction to Salomé Chatriot’s exhibition „Void is Seductive“
The exhibition brings together the five-channel video installation First Month of Anger, new paintings and the leather wall sculpture Void is Seductive No. 2. Throughout the works, digitally conceived bodies move between figure, organ and machine, taking on different forms across screen, surface and space.

But at Generation 449, the work stopped. Four years later, MVP returns to a very different technological and economic landscape. In ‘Every Boundary Is Bait’, Salomé Chatriot starts with a volumetric body designed in 3D. Rendered in enamel on aluminium, the torso takes on a metallic, pearlescent surface. Its form seems to turn and fold across the painting, bringing several possible views into a single image without settling into one fixed perspective.

Performance Review by Jonas Lund is now on view at Busan Museum of Art as part of Future Museology, Presented in collaboration with ZKM Karlsruhe

This new iteration brings the project into the institutional context of the museum, expanding its live agentic system across processes of production, evaluation, archiving, and communication.

Turning the museum itself into material, Performance Review asks what happens when institutional processes become automated and public, and what place remains for people.
