EXISTENZ in der Thüringer Allgemeine und der Ostthüringischen Zeitung:

„Existenz“ heißt das Stück, gleichsam ein dramatisches Prosalanggedicht für vier Einzelseelenkämpfer und Einzelkämpferseelen: zwei Frauen, zwei Männer, die im Grunde nichts miteinander zu tun haben, die nur die Erfahrung Krieges aus sehr unterschiedlicher Perspektive verbindet, die jeweils die eines Täters und eines Opfers einschließt. Dann aber spiegeln und verbinden sich die Erzählungen der Frauen und die der Männer, jeweils eine(r) spricht Deutsch, eine(r) Arabisch, fließen ineinander, werden austauschbar, was hier nicht beliebig heißen soll. Austauschbar auch die Orte. Das kommt gewiss von Syrien her, landet aber auf einer allgemeingültigen Abstraktions-Reflexionsebene. Die Kriege sind verschieden, die Traumata gleichen sich. (...)
Amal Omran und Corinne Jaber, Mohamad Al Rashi und Alois Reinhardt zwingen uns in eine Konzentration auf den schmalen Grat zwischen Existieren und Vegetieren. Das klagt nicht an, das urteilt nicht, das spricht von persönlicher Betroffenheit, ohne uns betroffen machen zu müssen. Es setzt eine dunkle Poesie gegen das Plakative und endet in einer kleinen lichten Hoffnung im Angesicht des Todes.

Synopsis:

Two men, their souls and their bodies fill this space. Human history weighs on them like a hangover and the outlook is bleak:
For nearly 80 years, nuclear war has fuelled the collective imagination. The Big Blast, people turned into skeletons, specks of fat, ash ... In parallel, what today is called climate catastrophe quietly drew up - the present of worldwide destruction, with its helpless measures, three cents more for the litre of gasoline. What to do? Give in to panic, blow up cars or dance on the volcano? And the future, what will it look like? Will history be history, language, science, art still present in relics, people untroubled?

In 2023, the two men who have met here by chance are hanging in the air - between joi de vivre, activism and radicalisation. Two central European heroes - Hamlet and Debuisson - are waiting for Godot.

In 2080, in the same place, people have survived and a new era has begun, finally a life without gods.

An international approach to the possibility of a shared future by suite42 from Berlin, Zoukak Theatre from Beirut and Deutsches SchauSpielHaus Hamburg.

In a time of upheaval in Syria, Chile, Algeria, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and lately Afghanistan and Ukraine, suite42's production "the naked good life" takes an inward look: the threats posed by climate change and how society and politics deal with it are forces that could destabilize German and Central European societies.

Over a period of 2 years, suite42, the Hamburg Schauspielhaus and the Zoukak Theatre Company and its studio in Beirut are collaborating under the banner "CURSED TO LIVE IN INTERESTING TIMES" to develop two productions that will be shown in Hamburg, Berlin and Beirut. Zoukak developed and showed the production of GHALIAS MILES. The production of suite42 had to be reduced and redesigned from 2019 to 2023.

ملخّص العمل

رجلان، قد امتلئ المكان بجسدهما و روحهما وتشربت عظامهما التاريخ الإنساني. المشهد يبدو حالكاً.
تقريباً ٨٠ سنة والحرب الذرية تُلهب الخيال الجمعي، الإنفجار الأكبر، بشر متحولة إلى هياكل عظمية، بقعة شحمية، رماد … في موازة ذلك وبهدوء وصمت أسفرت عن نفسها ما تسمى اليوم بـ "الكارثة المناخية" ـ حاضر خراب عالمي، بإجراءات عاجزة، ثلاث قروش أكثر للتر البنزين، ما العمل؟ الإذعان للهلع، فرقعة السيارت في الهواء أم الرقص فوق بركان؟ والمستقبل، كيف سيبدو؟ هل سيكون التاريخ تاريخاً؟ اللغة، العلم والفن تستحيل بقايا أثرية، والبشر ستغدو غير مُثقلة؟

في ٢٠٢٣ يتعلق الاثنين معاً في الهواء ما بين بهجة الحياة، النشاط السياسي والتطرف.
بطلان من أوروبا الوسطى، هاملت و ديبوسون في إنتظار غودو.

في ٢٠٨٠ يتمكن البعض من النجاة في المكان ذاته ويبدأ أخيراً عصر جديد، حياة من دون آلهة.

مقاربة دولية لإمكانية مستقبل مشترك لـ suite42 من برلين،
مسرح زقاق Zoukak Theatre من بيروت
و دار المسرح في هامبورغ Hamburger Schauspielhaus.

في زمن التحولات في سوريا، تشيلي، الجزائر، هونغ كونغ، إيران، العراق، لبنان وأخيراً أفغانستان وأوكرانيا توجّه suite42 عبر مسرحيتها "الحياة العارية الحَسنة" نظرتها نحو الداخل:
إن تهديدات التغير المناخي والأساليب الاجتماعية والسياسية المختلفة في تعاملها معه، تُعتبر قوى بإمكانها أن تزعزع الاستقرار في ألمانيا وفي مجتمعات وسط أوروبا.

لأكثر من عامين يعمل كل من suite42 وHamburger Schauspielhaus و Zoukak Theatre Company في استديو مشترك في بيروت
وتحت شعار: "CURSED TO LIVE IN INTERESTING TIMES" قاموا بإنتاج عملين ليُعرضان في هامبورغ، برلين وبيروت. أخرج وعرض مسرح زقاق مسرحية "أميال غالية". في ٢٠٢٣ اضطرت suite42 إلى اختزال وإعادة إخراج مسرحيتها التي أعدتها عام ٢٠١٩.
