This summer we welcome five artists. writers, poets, photographers & composers from around the world.
Each artist will be provided with a private/shared bedroom in the large ‘TONO’ apartment ( see apartments).
24/7 coffee-tea corner with some sweets in the house kitchen. 24/7 open co-working space. in addition, the gallery space will be open as a common area for research or writing etc..
There are 5 bathrooms and two bathrooms in the building to be shared by the residents.
Each resident is offered a modest bicycle to use for the duration of the residency. Supermarket, bars, restaurants, wine cellars and many others services are within a short bike ride from the residency’s building. The residency’s building is in the middle of vineyards, the whole area is surrounded by nature.
A car will pick you up and drive you to the nearest train station when residents arrive and depart. Rides to the train station for personal travels though are not granted, although possible if planned ahead. Otherwise, there are taxis and a bus available to and from.
We welcome the residents with an “Italian aperitivo” while everyone introduces their work.
In addition, We would enjoy a culinary half day trip for some local wine & cheese manufacturers which would end with a special pizza night which will be hand made using our 100-year-old pizza oven!
- One day trip to Florence is also possible If there would be an interest from the residence.

A great big collaboration between Greenhouse Berlin and Vuelvetemono!

Dear artists, during the next 20 days, we will start in our “8 Gallery” a project from the north of Chile, called Vuelvetemono, if you will feel during those days a need or a will for inspiration, a place to create, a place to play music, a place to write a short story, a place to paint or in other words a place to create art and express yourself then you should contact the amazing BIG MONKEY PROJECT and go upstairs to the “8 Gallery” with Berlins skyline view.
Vuelvetemono:
"We are an Artist Collective and Production Company, from the north of Chile, called Vuelvetemono We create a public experience for the community to live and perceive ART through the senses and gain our own learning and reflective experience.
The collaboration of celebration and art is the vision that we choose to share with the community.
Now we are on a self-managed tour of Europe with temporary residence in Berlin, and our mission is to realize:
THE BIG MONKEY PROJECT “Everybody has a monkey inside”
The monkey is a symbolic image, this universal icon has always been a recognizable image for all and reminds us of the wild and primitive side, the authenticity and the indomitable nature.
Multicultural exchange and networking are essential for the development of artistic expression and experience.
We practise collaborative and multidisciplinary work and for this project we extend the call to:
