Berlin's iconic streets and monuments revisited in unique handmade illustrations ! Benaboud. The first series of Blackout Cities concern the German Capital.

Blackout Cities is an artistic project of the Berlin based Moroccan / Swiss / Belgian architect Marie M. Combining architecture,photography and illustration to produce unique visions of urban sceneries. The excessive and exclusive use of black, the strong composition as well as the absence of human presence, generate an obscure atmosphere characterising her work. All her drawings and prints are self-made in her atelier, mostly signed and in limited editions.

This is a picture of last summer as I was getting ready before selling my prints at markets ! The best thing about those days were that I could discuss directly with my clients and get the feedbacks directly from the public!! Let’s hope I can do it this year too cause the good days are back 🌞
