"Let It Go" by Lukas Brux opens on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 6 pm.

Feel free to bring some drinks, all your friends and start your weekend with some p***s-paintings in Neukölln.

Lukas originally began painting p***ses as a way to reflect on his role as a straight white man. In the meantime, he uses the p***s motif to negotiate a wide variety of feelings, philosophical or political questions, and even religious subjects.

The exhibition will also be on view Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 11 am until 9 pm.

The Documenting Thierry show opens this Thursday (21.07.22) at the Gallery in .

Documenting Thierry was published in 2017. It is a series of images of the French male s*x worker and political activist Thierry Schaffauser taken between 2010 and 2012, when he lived in London. It’s pretty impossible to find a copy of the zine today, but it is held in the collections of Tate Britain, Martin Parr Foundation and Maison Européenne de la Photographie. In this new exhibition, I will be showing 30 large DIY photocopy paper prints alongside a video installation of Thierry talking about his life, work and politics.

"Feeling Purple" 💜
Drawings, Objects and Scenographic Laboratory by

The exhibition "Feeling Purple" features works on paper from the "Aphrodite" series, as well as a site-specific intervention, conceived for Retramp Gallery during Berlin Gallery Weekend, and some "Souvenirs"/"Spatial Strategies”.

"Aphrodite" is a series of small works on paper, which focus on the figure of the Greek goddess of beauty and love: Venus, in Roman mythology, or Aphrodite in Greek mythology. What is associated with beauty and love? How is beauty represented in different cultures, and how were beauty and love represented in antiquity? What attributes would one associate with a contemporary Venus?
With these questions as a starting impulse, the "Aphrodite" series emerged; refined visual and poetic thoughts on paper.

The purple fabric, mysterious, soft and with a furry surface, is the element that characterizes the entire series of collages. This elegant fabric is the attribute chosen by the artist for her contemporary Venus. The purple fabric does not remain only an element to be observed in Marta Colombo's drawings, but is also reflectively placed in the gallery, to make it interact with the real space.

This material, particularly inspirational, becomes part of the installation in situ created specifically for Retramp, and at the end of the exhibition is made available to the public, in the context of a "Scenographic Laboratory" conducted by the artist to which the public is warmly invited to participate during the Finissage of 7 May at 6pm.

Jessica Post has been taking photographs of people ever since she was a teenager and has shown in multiple galleries in Germany and abroad. This exhibition focuses on portraits as well as both the everyday and spaces that are artificially created.

In her words:
“I am endlessly fascinated with the human mind and the human physical appearance and how our faces, expressions, body language reflects our inside. I love how a photograph creates a reality of its own, how a still image can tell a story or inspire us to make up a story behind the image.
I am very much into street photography, still blown away by the power photos have. I love fashion photography too, a contrast to street photography, the creation of a “fake” world and the reality of the streets. A burst series of photos illustrate how our reality is not static, but continuously moving and changing and a face is not a face but a living moving part of this incredible world of atoms (and smaller) you come to together and our brain and eyes create an image out of it.”
