Storytime: in spring of 2021 after a full year of lockdowns we headed down to the south of Spain for what would be the best working vacation I've honestly ever experienced.

My good friend and producer Marcus Brosch had hatched the idea of getting out of town and making a guilty pleasures covers record with myself and guitarist Deniz Erarslan. We'd originally worked together on a ukulele version of a Supertramp song for a corporation that shall not be named (though Supertramp also eventually said no to said corporation) and Marcus' publisher Peer Music Group expressed interest in hearing more covers like it.

For a solid week we went from cafe con leche to studio to beach to studio, all the while trying to make songs by everyone from Rihanna to the Spice Girls to Queen and Buddy Holly sound good with a guitalele (and my voice). We worked hard but honestly not a second of it felt like work.

We'd originally envisioned releasing the album under a new project called 'Mute the Moon' (swipe to last pic for album cover) but ended up putting it out under my solo project.

Last week we released the third song (and arguably our favourite of the collection) a sweet version or Buddy Holly's 'Everyday'. We think you'll like it x

Our cover of Buddy Holly's classic 'Everyday' is out today.

A couple years ago , and myself took a trip to Motril, Spain with the generous support of with the aim of making a "Guilty Pleasures" Album. This song ended up being one of Mute the Moon's (name of our band that never came to fruition) favourites.

**The album in it's entirety, however, did come to fruition. More to come in the following months;)
