🕸️ Eine riesige Spinne auf das berühmte Brandenburger Tor zu projizieren ist mutig. Die kraftvolle Botschaft dahinter auch. So viel Mut wird von uns belohnt. Deshalb freuen wir uns, den Jurypreis des Festival of Lights Award 2024 an Vanessa Cardui übergeben zu dürfen. 🏆
In ihrem Stop-Motion-Werk BUILDING INSECTS zeigt Vanessa Cardui nicht nur ihre beeindruckenden künstlerischen Fähigkeiten, die Schmetterlinge, Käfer und eine riesige Papierspinne über das Brandenburger Tor krabbeln lassen, sondern auch eine Botschaft, die mitten ins Herz Berlins gehört 💚 Die Projektion erinnert uns eindringlich an den dramatischen Rückgang der Insektenpopulation und macht ihre Bedeutung für unser Ökosystem deutlich. 🐛🕸️

The video projection on the former Israel department store, colorful tree lighting that invites you to take a stroll and huge, brightly colored crystal flowers by Austrian artist Markus Anders create a magical atmosphere. And have you found the “little” caterpillar yet? 🐛💫
These highlights are made possible by WBM Wohnungsbaugesellschaft Berlin-Mitte.
Directly in front of the Fischer & Lustig restaurant is also our visitors' favorite: the 4.5m high artwork “WITH L.O.V.E. FROM BERLIN”.
