“Broken Hearts & Beauty Sleep” is the brand new ‘mini-album’ from Mykki Blanco out today via Transgressive [PIAS]. Such a gifted collection of guests blessed us with contributions to this record including Blood Orange, Big Freedia, Hudson Mohawke, Jamila Woods, Kari Faux, and God Colony.

Another brilliant talent from the Singular Arts Group roster, FaltyDL (aka Drew Lustman), served as Executive Producer on this album and also on Mykki’s next forthcoming full-length release. Drew has dedicated so much energy and passion over the last 3.5 years in collaborating with Mykki to bring these projects together to fruition; and through this process, Drew has grown and evolved so much. His creative spirit is overflowing with significant musical output — and we are very excited to play our role in helping to bring all this work out to the world in the coming years.

It has truly been a family affair and a labor of love, years in the making to finally get to realize the first release of this new chapter of Mykki’s career; the level of pride and fulfillment we are feeling is tremendous; there’s really just nothing better than seeing something through for several years and then getting to see it go out into the world to touch people in that uniquely special way that this kind of art does.
