In the shop you’ll find an eclectic range of artwork from originals, hand-pulled screenprints, risographs, giclee prints through to postcards and stickers and much more. We also have monthly exhibitions of local artists’ work in our gallery space at the back of the shop. We want LIB to be an inspiring place, an uninitimidating environment that gets the creative juices flowing and a space that accurately reflects the alternative scene that is Kreuzberg.

It’s back thanks to capitano and we will be hosting this time around! If you haven’t been to one before, prepare your eyes for the feasting of fantastic street artists remixing large format stickers with their own flair and style. Auction of the pieces happens on the 11th and the proceeds go to and keeping hatch running
As usual we will be there with beers and spritz and all you need to lubricare your evening ❤️

Fresh giclee prints coming in this week from the talented .mauno ! 🙌🏼❤️ All printed on delicious 308gsm Hahnemühle photo rag paper with archival inks. These will be available in A3 and A4 sizes. 3 other prints in addition to this Mexican 🇲🇽 inspired piece. .mauno is a surface print designer and these prints are derived from pattern designs.

These colourful prints by our very own Ben aka are based on actual Berlin performers. Here they are gleaming in the Berlin sunlight (yes ☀️ in Berlin!) Come down for our next exhibition opening on FRIDAY 5th November with Dora Ragusa. An oil painter from Rome who has been playing around with acrylics more as well as new "canvases" for her show:
Ex Voto -
The exhibition shows several hand painted skateboard decks, presented as art objects. This project is inspired by the ancient popular tradition of the Ex Voto. The Ex Voto is an offering to a saint or a divinity, in Christian culture usually to Saint Mary, in fulfilment of a vow. These sacred images, inspired by religious and macabre themes, are painted on a profane object, rooted in the popular youth culture, a skateboard deck.
Starts at 19uhr beers and wines and probably an Aperol or two!

Die Ausstellung zeigt mehrere handbemalte Skateboarddecks, die als Kunstobjekte präsentiert werden. Dieses Projekt ist inspiriert von der alten Volkstradition des Ex Voto. Das Ex Voto ist eine Opfergabe an einen Heiligen oder eine Gottheit, in der christlichen Kultur normalerweise an die Heilige Maria, in Erfüllung eines Gelübdes. Diese heiligen Bilder, inspiriert von religiösen und makabren Themen, sind auf einem profanen Objekt gemalt, das in der populären Jugendkultur verwurzelt ist, einem Skateboarddeck.
Beginnt bei 19Uhr Bieren und Weinen und wahrscheinlich ein oder zwei Aperol!

The exhibition is titled ‘A Squeak in the Hawthorn’ and the prints take their influence from mid 20th century print makers, street photographers 📸and literature 📚. Come down!
