Emerging from Merced, California, 60 juno (sixty juno) is a leading figure in the Central Valley post-punk scene, crafting a distinctive sound that blends DIY indie rock with post-punk influences. By combining raw energy and deep, understated vocals with the wistful, dreamlike qualities of indie rock, 60 juno has carved out a style entirely his own. DEAFDEAFDEAF (UK) + TRISTESSE

Wednesday, 17 June 2026
Neue Zukunft Garage (Alt-Stralau 68, 10245 Berlin)

• DEAFDEAFDEAF are an independent band from Greater Manchester, UK, blending shoegaze, feedback-heavy post-punk, noise rock, and raw emotional intensity into a sound that feels both chaotic and deeply atmospheric. Known for explosive live performances and crushing walls of sound, the band have quickly built a reputation as one of the most exciting new names in the UK underground. Their music balances abrasive noise with vulnerable melancholy, drawing comparisons to Manchester’s rich alternative legacy while carving out a distinctly modern identity of their own.

• Berlin’s TRISTESSE blend shoegaze, dreampop, and alternative rock, pairing dreamy guitars and ethereal vocals with a solid rhythmic backbone. The result is a sound that feels equally suited for late-night reflection and getting lost in the moment.

Young Widows (US) + Aicher + LVFT

🗓️ Thursday, 1 October 2026
📍 Kantine am Berghain (Am Wriezener bhf, 10243 Berlin)
🕖 Doors: 19:00 | Show: 20:00

• Formed in Louisville, Kentucky in 2006, Young Widows have spent two decades carving out a singular space between noise rock, post-hardcore and post-punk: heavy, raw and unmistakably their own. After an 11-year pause, the legendary trio returns with Power Sucker, their long-awaited fifth album and one of their most intense and forward-moving records to date. Still as crushing and inventive as ever, Young Widows continue to blur the line between sonic violence and emotional weight. A rare chance to witness one of underground heavy music’s most distinctive bands live.

• Aicher is the solo project of Berlin-based artist Liam Andrews, also known for his work with My Disco and Eros. Built around industrial percussion, metallic textures and heavy atmosphere, Aicher moves between raw intensity and slow-burning tension. Dark, physical and deeply hypnotic, it feels equally rooted in Berlin’s industrial tradition and modern experimental music.

• LVFT is a four-piece outfit delivering a blistering take on noise rock and post-punk. Influenced by titans like Fugazi, Sonic Youth, and U.S. Maple, their music rides the line between earworm melodies and raw, jittery energy. Their sound is steeped in dissonant, feedback-laden guitars and cutthroat punk rhythms.

Crunch Tapes & Punkfilmfest present:

• SCREENSAVER (AU) |

Blending hypnotic beats, punk energy and swirling synths, screensaver channel themes of power, control and systemic failure into a dark yet danceable strain of maximalist post-punk, drawing from krautrock and new wave.

Formed in 2016 as a trans-Pacific project between Christopher Stephenson (Spray Paint, Exek) and Krystal Maynard (Bad Vision, Polo, Swim Team), the band later settled in Melbourne with a full lineup featuring members of Personal Touch and Rat Columns.

Their debut Expressions of Interest (2021) introduced the band internationally and drew support from KEXP, Maximum Rock’n’Roll and Clash. Follow-up Decent Shapes (2023) earned praise from NME, Rolling Stone Australia and Brooklyn Vegan, with the single “The Guilt” reaching the AMRAP Top 10.

Deaf Club (US) + Youff (BE) @ Neue Zukunf, Berlin
Sunday, 24 May 2026

Deaf Club return with their second LP We Demand a Permanent State of Happiness (Southern Lord / Three One G), a ferocious collision of noise, grind and hardcore driven by atonal guitars, relentless blast beats and a constant sense of anxiety. Fronted by Justin Pearson — cult figure known for projects such as The Locust, Retox, Dead Cross, Swing Kids and Head Wound City — the band, alongside Brian Amalfitano, Scott Osment and Jason Klein, deliver their strongest songwriting to date: sharper hooks, explosive energy and pit-ready chaos while staying as weird and confrontational as ever. As Metal Sucks put it, “It’s like someone mixed Red Bull and Adderall and co***ne into your coffee… lawless, lethiferous hardcore.”

Youff are a Belgian noise-hardcore band from Ghent, delivering raw, primitive and high-velocity sounds rooted in the underground scene. Featuring members of bands like 30,000 Monkies and Crowd of Chairs, their live shows are intense, physical and built to cause serious movement in the pit.band

SKINNER (Dublin / dance punk, no wave) + FURIE (Berlin / kraut punk)

• Skinner is the Dublin-based project of Aaron Corcoran, blending the raw spirit of no wave and post-punk — drawing from The B-52s, James Chance & the Contortions and ESG — with the angular energy of alt-rock touchstones like Pixies and Morphine. Sharp, self-produced and driven by restless rhythms, Skinner’s music thrives on tension, groove and controlled chaos.

His debut album New Wave Vaudeville (Faction Records, 2025) takes inspiration from the free-form, anti-commercial New York art underground of the late ‘70s, delivering a bold and unruly sound built for the stage. Skinner and his band have toured and shared stages with Dope Lemon, Algiers and The Wedding Present, earning a reputation for explosive, unpredictable and unmissable live performances.

• Furie is a kraut-tech-punk project founded in Berlin. A musical progression between kitsch and screaming fits. An eternally open cycle in which Delfi, Martha, Josi, and Max gallop like horsies together with marginal phenomena over verdurous grounds of the sub-surface. Furie is loud and quiet, no one knows in which (un-)known spheres she will steer us. Don’t fear to be dramatic! Explode!
