Urban Theater on Tour in Poland 🚗

On August 27 we will show "Moneyland" at the 26th Festival of Theatre and Art BRAMAT 2025 in the city of Goleniów, organized by our friends and colleagues from Teatr Brama

"Moneyland" was created in February 2025 as part of our International Director and Dramaturgy Lab "Focal Point". The show was directed by Anton Kiseljus, based on a play by Estonian playwright Mehis Pihla. The cast features an international team of actors, many of whom you already know from other Urban Theater shows.

"Moneyland" is a financial thriller with a dynamic narrative and evocative pace. It tells the story of two young men from poor backgrounds whose dream of wealth turns into an obsession. The job that was supposed to be the path to success becomes a moral trap. The play shows how easy it is to lose oneself in the world of big money.

Tonight we premiere "Macht. Krieg. Frieden (?)" – a co-production by Urban Theater and Globe Berlin, based on Shakespeare’s "Henry V" and texts by Niccolò Machiavelli and Hannah Arendt.

All tickets for tonight are sold out, but there are still chances to see the show tomorrow, June 21, as well as on July 17, 18, and 19, and on August 29 and 30.

We invite you to the second session of our workshop series created by our Executive Director, Dr. Witalij Schmidt, about the German grant system.

At the workshop, you will get acquainted with the basic legal principles of using public funds, learn all about risks and responsibilities, how to work with documentation, how to implement your project competently, efficiently, and in full legal compliance — while maintaining complete control over it.

This week, we started rehearsals for our new show "Macht. Krieg. Frieden (?)” – a collaboration with Globe Berlin. This is a unique project based on Shakespeare’s Henry V and texts by Niccolò Machiavelli and Hannah Arendt.

The Director is Natalia Lapina, Artistic Director of Urban Theater. The cast includes actors from Germany, Ukraine, and Russia – many of whom you already know from our previous productions and Globe Berlin shows.

The premiere will take place on June 20 – tickets for it, as well as for other shows in June, July, and August, are already available via the link bit.ly/43aMSh7

In May he will host the workshops “How Do I Write a Good Grant Application?” in Russian and German.
