But because I’m not guessing anymore.

Most beginners spend hours on a drawing…
and still end up with flat, muddy results.
Not because they lack talent—
but because they don’t understand how to control the medium.

Oil pastels are not for random coloring.

If you’re just blending everything you see,
you’re actually destroying depth.

Here’s what’s really helping me:
• Every layer is placed with intention
• Blending is controlled—not overdone
• Highlights are added at the right stage (not at the end randomly)
That’s why the result is predictable.
