There are theater moments that remind me why I love theater so much.
It doesn’t matter whether it’s a classical concert, opera, ballet, or musical. There are those rare evenings when everything and everyone reaches a level where nothing can go wrong — and nothing does. On the contrary. Everything that shouldhappen, happens. The magic.
If I’m honest, those moments don’t happen often. But when they do, I’m not only excited and emotional — I am truly grateful.
Last night at the Palladium Theater Stuttgart, this magic happened.
I saw We Will Rock You for the second time. But this time, something very special happened. It was perfection: perfect cast, perfect band, perfect sound, perfect show.
Linda Seefried as Scaramouche and Sjoerd van der Meer as Galileo: I honestly could not believe what I was experiencing. And last but not least, the queen of the night: Aisata Blackman, nailed it. Happy for you. You are a star.
… And Sjoerd, I don’t know you personally, but Freddy lives in you! Thank you for reminding me why theater means so much to me.
