At the beginning of last year i was invited to participate in a play that was just in the development stage. After discusing the concept with the actresses and artistic director, we went straight to recording the sounds of the different objects that would be part of this piece. A couple of weeks later the sound design for "Flip Flop" would be finished.

Today i'm very proud to tell you that "Flip Flop" is one of the nominated productions for IKARUS Theaterpreis 2023, award given by to the best Berlin theatre productions for children and young people.

Dear friends,

on Friday 2 September, at 3:30 pm, I will present the multi-channel musical piece "Journey to the Centre of the Sound" at the cultural centre and sound laboratory MONOM, located in Funkhaus Berlin.

This performance has been composed by the collective "Patrimoni Acustic" and is based on a trip we made last September to Iceland.

The heart of MONOM is the 4DSOUND sound spatialisation system, consisting of 48 omnidirectional loudspeakers suspended throughout the venue, extending to 9 powerful submersed subs under an acoustically transparent floor.

"Journey to the Centre of the Sound" invites listeners on a sonic journey through the landscapes of this European island, combining field recordings, music and poetry.

At this time it is perhaps necessary to remember this documentary produced by and directed by Sieva Diamantakos, where we had the privilege of doing the sound editing and part of the music, about the eternal conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
