The California-born bass baritone Evan Hughes has built a worldwide career as a versatile and daring singer, on both the international operatic stage and in contemporary music.

Indian-American pianist Kunal Lahiry - Pianist is a current BBC New Generation Artist and recipient of the 2021 Carl Bechstein Foundation scholarship.

The pair present a program featuring works by Debussy, Barber, Schubert, Purcell, Finzi and Ravel.

Soprano Bruno de Sá - sopranista is an artist who is recreating the rules of classical music. Possessing an ethereal voice and supreme musicality, his repertoire spans from early baroque to freshly commissioned works. In 2020 he was awarded the Oper! Award for best young artist and has since made a string of critically acclaimed international debuts.

An audience favourite at our fundraising event for the UKRAINE, we are delighted to welcome him back to Lobe Block. In this portrait concert, Bruno is joined by pianist Thomas Victor Johnson in a programme that dissolves the boundaries between what is known and what can be possible.
