°OPEN CALL FOR PERFORMERS°

For the performance “I AM AN IMMIGRANT” as part of 48 Hours Neukölln, I am seeking performers with a migration background. The performance is directed against right-wing movements and features a poetic protest choir in which five performers disrupt everyday life with megaphones, making fragments of inner thoughts audible.

Als ich anfing, mich mit dem Thema künstlerisch auseinanderzusetzen, war es noch „Jeden 3. Tag…“. Heute sieht es anders aus.

2023: deutschlandweit 360 Femizide. (BKA)
Die Zahlen steigen.
Jeden Tag tötet ein Mann eine Frau in Deutschland.

In Berlin müsste der Senat 963 Schutzplätze in Frauenhäusern und Zufluchtswohnungen laut Istanbul-Konvention zum Schutz vor Gewalt für Frauen bereitstellen. Laut Ursprung gebe es derzeit 492. Seit Monaten verzeichnet die Vermittlungs-Hotline eine erhöhte Anzahl an Anrufen.

Häusliche Gewalt beginnt viel früher. Sie beginnt mit psychischer Kontrolle:

Auch das »Kontrollieren von Handys«, »extreme Eifersucht«, das »Freunde verbieten«, »Geld wegnehmen«, das »Auflauern« und »Drohen« sind Formen häuslicher Gewalt und gehen der körperlichen Gewalt voraus. Betroffene werden
»gegen den Willen angefasst«, »geschlagen«, »gewürgt«, »beleidigt« oder »geschubst« und im schlimmsten Fall auch umgebracht.

Warum sich Frauen oft nicht aus gewaltvollen Beziehungen lösen können?
»Keine neue Wohnung«, »nicht genug Geld«, »gemeinsame Freunde« oder einfach nur das Festhalten an dem Versprechen »er will sich ändern«.

Wir fordern die sofortige Umsetzung des Landesaktionsplans mit 130 Maßnahmen zum Schutz und zur Prävention (Istanbul-Konvention).

Darüber hinaus ein Therapie-Angebot für Täter*innen, denn darüber wird selten gesprochen.
