🔸 RECAP °4 Beautiful memories. We brought our festival to a close with a stunning finale on 31 May. Professionals and amateurs with their sheng, accordion, jaw harp and harmonica all came together on stage – what a magical moment!

🔸 RECAP °3 of three amazing days full of music and great encounters in Berlin. Here are the next beautiful pictures of the FEN family album 2026 taken by Frank Korte May 31 at the HARMONICA FEN FESTIVAL BERLIN.

The music of jazz harmonica player Yotam Ben-Or enchanted the audience on our third day of the festival. He performed alongside Shachar Elnatan on guitar. We then delved deep into the world of country music with John Henry from Sweden. The final concert was dedicated to our ‘Network’ theme. The free-reed ensemble, featuring Wu Wei, Steven De Bruyn, Titti Castrini and Sören Birke, brought the Chinese sheng, the harmonica, the accordion and the archaic jaw harp to the stage and, in an incredible improvisation lasting over 50 minutes, demonstrated what musical interplay can mean. They were accompanied by double bass player Carmelo Leotta.

🔸 RECAP °2 of three amazing days full of music and great encounters in Berlin. Here are the next beautiful pictures of the FEN family album 2026 taken by Frank Korte May 30 at the HARMONICA FEN FESTIVAL BERLIN.

Belgium’s master of harmonica improvisation, Steven De Bruyn, performed for the first time with the fantastic percussionist Roshanak Rafani. The audience was captivated as they performed songs filled with myths and poetry. Next up was the powerful band led by Brazilian musician Indiara Sfair. Their special guest was Titti Castrini, who played another free-reed instrument: the accordion. Their musical collaboration was explosive.
The energy continued when the Finnish harmonica ensemble Sväng took to the stage. Together, they wowed the audience completely.

🔸 RECAP of three amazing days full of music and great encounters in Berlin. Here are the first beautiful pictures of the FEN family album 2026 taken by Frank Korte May 29 at the HARMONICA FEN FESTIVAL BERLIN.

On Friday, two duos presented their new albums:
Hermine Deurloo + Anton Goudsmit opened with their soulful music full of joy and passion. (Album release: May 15, 2026)

Their concert was followed by the powerful blues of Keith Dunn and Klaas Wendling who brought the music of their new album (release May 29, 2026) on stage.

The 3rd concert of the evening was dedicated to old time and traditional playing styles performed by US player Seth Shumate. extra: Seth not only invited fiddle player Ryland Burhans. He also ask Adam Sikora to come on stage.

Naturally, the jaw harp – played by Sören Birke – was a must at this concert. It was the first time different free reed instruments had come together at this festival – with more to follow.
