Today and tomorrow night Zirkus Mond is host a wonderful Gala with amazing artists from Ukraine.

Collecting donation for the project, which is supporting Ukrainian people fleeing from the war.

We will also present a photo exhibition about the circus pedagogical work we do since April at the Ukrainian border and inform about the project.

After 3 days of intense work we set up the circus space at the Ukrainian border, next to a huge registration center to offer a creative and playful space for the kids fleeing from the war.
With an amazing support of the whole team, our wonderful partners on the spot and great help from Berlin we could establish this peaceful and safe garden of playfulness. We join the forces with the local activists on the spot to make this place become a beautiful oasis where kids can freely express themselves and feel the empowerment of circus magic...

Sunday, 10th April 2022, "Colors of Peace" Gala Zirkus Mond

We invite for a spectacular Circus Gala with talented Circus Artists from Ukraine, who will share for the first time in Berlin their unique beauty of circus.

The "Colors of Peace" Gala gives circus students from Kyiv a stage to do what their big dream is: performing in front of an audience and prove their great skills. They come from the "Kyiv Academy for Circus and Performing Arts" and from the circus school "Alle Up" Kyiv.

For our Solidarity CIRCUS GALA “Colours of Peace”, we are looking for Ukrainian artists, who wish to perform a short number (5-8min) at the Zirkus MOND in Berlin.
Date: Sunday 10th of April, 19h

The gala will be hold in a beautiful Circus tent and we will rise money for the social circus project supporting Ukrainian kids in Berlin and the Ukrainian border.

We offer a professional stage, video recording of the show, promotion of the performing artists, link to the berlin circus scene and a lot of joy to create this solidarity circus show together.

Mobile Circus Team for Ukraine

Facing terror and suffering of people from Ukraine, we want to support with two mobile circus teams a safe space of playful encounter and strengthening of self-perception of children and young people fleeing from the war zone.

For Berlin:
We want to support with our mobile Circus Team a space of movement and encounter with circus pedagogical activities, playful animation and integrative circus actions:

- at the places of arrival (train stations) 

- the initial reception, temporary accommodations (Tegel)
- as an offer for the Ukrainian children (Ukrainian School, local neighbourhoods, cultural centres)
- at Administration cues

At the Polish-Ukrainian border:
We want to support the Ukrainian people directly at the PL-UE border, by building an infrastructure for circus pedagogical activities (10m circus tent, props, mats, light&sound equipment) and organizing an offer for the arriving people in cooperation with the Polish activists on site: Group GRANICA, Fundacja OCALENIE, who are coordinating activities at the border

Our CIRCUS OFFER:
- circus workshop - structured 60-180min pedagogical offers, one day but also for a longer time frame (1-2 weeks), ideally with a final show for families and mates
- circus animation - open space activities, trying out disciplines, circus games
- small mobile circus shows - performances for the kids and families
- circus space - Prepared space where kids can taste the circus magic & get creative)
- Internal trainings for the team -

Our SUPPORT STRUCTURE:
- supportive coordination structure
- variety of circus material, resources
- experienced core team & motivated volunteers
- common planning and evaluation of the work
- internal trainings and emotional support
- financial support
- documentation and social media
- communication with the partners

Our NEEDS:
Materials:
- Circus material (juggling equipment, unicycles, stilts, balls, slacklines, rollabolla, etc.)
- 10m circus tent (rent or provided)
Acromats and mobile Areal facility
- mobile Music speakers

Finances:
- food (snacks for the kids, team)
- Personnel costs (allowance for trainers)
- transport costs (fuel, tickets)

Together we will create a diverse and participative program hosted at the collaborative HUB: “MOOS” (Berlin) For 3 days (25-27.02.2022) we invite everyone to contribute and create a dialogue on how to empower and implement Solidarity as a cross-sectoral foundation in the different areas of our lives (culture, work, community building, economy, education….)

Thanks for the wonderful Wilde Möhre Festival (https://wildemoehrefestival.de/), where we were invited last summer to share our Circus magic: We offered various circus workshops, did some colorful walking acts in the evening and spread a colourful circus vibe around the festival. We arrived with a bigger team of 12 pirates including some supporters from our wider community. This mission we did without our circus tent as a mobile Team, so we brought all the equipment, costumes and necessary infrastructure with the train and bus (highly eco-friendly). The lovely designed spaces of the festival were really beautiful, the organizers put a lot of heart and soul in to make this a wonderful place.

We offered 4 workshops: Hula Hoop/Clowning with Jazz, Acro-Dance with Nelson, Pois&Juggling with Hamza&Chloe and the Art of Flow with Tomek. In the evening we put on our amazing lightfull costumes and moved with our unique walking act through the festival and spread the circus magic.
It has been a very valuable experience and helped us to grow together as a team, develop the quality of our workshops and enjoy the creative flow of the walking act.

We are very grateful for the invitation and look forward to returning this summer perhaps with the circus tent.

We wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to for such an amazing experience last summer and for all your support to create a great vibe together. We had an amazing two weekends of workshops, from yoga to art, handcrafts, gong meditations, acrodance, juggling, movement, and of course circus flow.

We are super excited to announce that we will be back again this Summer, with even more circus magic- get ready to find your flow, embrace your inner clown, and dive into the dream portal! We are going to be cooking up some even brighter costumes, some even wilder moves, and some even more hilarious workshops (just when you thought they couldn’t get any better!). Summer countdown starts NOW! See you soon at the Flow Temple hosted by the Circus Space Pirates…
