This is the first painting I made in Berlin, painted in my studio apartment on Schlesische Straße, just a couple days after arriving on May 2, 2007.

It was the first in a series of paintings called the Asylum series, painted from 2007-2010.

Happy Earth Day! I swear the foliage in the foreground was way more blue than my ancient iPhone 8 is insisting it was… and the background was way more mauve too! So don’t worry about AI, folks… robots got nothin on humans ;)

Not sure who this fine young man is who’s portrayed here in stone, but the blooming cherry blossoms flanking him (also terribly portrayed by this robot’s eye) caught my eye while riding my bike through Tiergarten the other day, so I returned with my easel today for a day of painting, on what feels like the first summer day in Berlin ☀️

It‘s never too early to start planning a trip to the beautiful Swiss alps! 🏔️

Very happy to announce this show of ‘s extensive collection of my paintings.

I met Mario Casanova, the director of the Contemporary Art Museum of Ticino, way back in 2008, when he saw my joint exhibition with the renowned Berlin painter Salomé, who had helped me get my footing in Berlin when I first arrived here, and without whom I surely wouldn’t have been able to stay.

Mario has since then become one of my greatest supporters, with the largest collection of my paintings anywhere in the world.

It‘s an honor to have my work in his impressive collection and I’m already looking forward to this exhibition! Save the date!
