RIP John Osenni aka Pop aka Pop Pop, Oct. 8th, 1928 - July 14th, 2026 🤍 I actually have no idea when I made this portrait of Grammy (Dolores Cennamo) and Pop… maybe their 50th wedding anniversary (?) but it honestly could have been anywhere from 2003 - 2009. It’s a painting of their engagement photo. The third slide is my mother , Pop and me at my cousin Giulio’s wedding in 2013 in Serrone, Italy, where Pop’s father (Giovanni Orsini) lived until he boarded a ship to New York in 1907. Serrone is the neighboring town to Piglio, where his mother Annunziata Grilli grew up, before following Giovanni to New York in 1917. John aka Pop passed peacefully at his home in Saugerties, NY, surrounded by loved ones.
