Lobkowiczký komorní orchestr
je soubor, který nově založili pražští hudebníci a německý dirigent Michael Kuen. Aby orchestr dostál této poctě, pojal – vzdálen encyklopedickým nárokům – svůj způsob sestavování programu exemplárním způsobem. Orchestr vědomě nepředstavuje speciální těleso, nýbrž ve snaze vycházet z pramenů pojímá historii hudby počínaje barokem až po modernu jako celistvou jednotku,
jako obrovskou budovu s rozličnými poschodími, kde jedno poschodí staví na druhém a zároveň se vzájemně prostupují a podmiňují. Tak protíná jednotlivé epochy odrážející bohaté kulturní pole působnosti Prahy, kde je orchestr domovem. Vazba Michaela Kuena na Prahu se formovala více než dvacet let. A tak se na základě prověřených uměleckých přátelství formují nové vazby, aby provozovaly hudbu na nejvyšší úrovni. Mottem Lobkowiczova orchestru nechť jsou slova Carla Phillippa Emanuela Bacha: „Je nutno hrát duší…“ doplněná o úvahy Arnolda Schönberga: „Není to jen srdce samo, které vytváří všechno to krásné, cituplné, něžné a podmanivé, a právě tak málo je to mozek sám, který tvoří věci konstruované a jasně organizované. Srdce musí být blízké hlavě“. V tomto smyslu staví nově založené hudební těleso do centra své tvorby koncert jako vlastní událost. Zprostředkování času a prostoru, hudby, velké hudební formy žádající si oživení.

Lobkowicz Chamber Orchestra
The Lobkowicz Chamber Orchestra was recently founded by a group of Prague-based musicians and the German conductor Michael Kuen. The ensemble’s name was generously lent by the Lobkowicz family. In living up to the high standard of this association, the orchestra forgoes encyclopaedic claims in favour of a distinctive musical programme. The orchestra is not conceived as a specialized ensemble. Rather, it views music history from the Baroque to Modernism as an integrated whole, as a single edifice with different storeys that build on, open up to, and depend upon one another. The ensemble thus draws an arc across the ages, one in which the rich cultural dynamic of Prague is reflected. Michael Kuen has cultivated ties to this city over a period of more than twenty years. In the orchestra, these seasoned artistic friendships unfold with new vitality as the members join together to make music at the highest level. The musical identity of the Lobkowicz Chamber Orchestra may best be summed up by the words of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, “One must play from the soul…” Arnold Schoenberg’s reflection provides a fitting complement: “It is not the heart alone which creates all that is beautiful, lyrical, tender, and enchanting; nor is it the brain alone which brings forth the well-constructed and clearly organized. The heart must reside close to the head.” In this spirit, the orchestra’s work is centred on the live event of the concert – the communication of the time and space of music, the great art form, which lives through its continual re-creation.

Lobkowicz Kammerorchester
Das Lobkowicz Kammerorchester ist ein von Prager Musikern und dem deutschen Dirigenten Michael Kuen neu gegründetes Ensemble. Großzügiger Weise hat die Familie Lobkowicz ihren Namen für das Orchester zur Verfügung gestellt. Diesem hohen Anspruch gerecht werdend, zeichnet sich das Orchester fern von enzyklopädischen Ansprüchen durch eine exemplarische Programmgestaltung aus. Das Orchester versteht sich nicht als Spezialensemble, sondern begreift die Musikgeschichte von Barock bis Moderne als eine zusammengehörige Einheit, als ein großes Gebäude mit verschiedenen Stockwerken, die auf einander aufbauen, durchlässig sind und einander bedingen. So werden durch die Epochen Bögen gezogen, die das reiche kulturelle Spannungsfeld der Orchesterheimat Prag spiegeln. Die Verbindung von Michael Kuen nach Prag ist in über zwanzig Jahren gewachsen. Es sind also erprobte künstlerische Freundschaften die hier eine neue Verbindung eingehen, um auf höchstem Niveau zusammen zu musizieren. Als Moto für das Erscheinungsbild des Lobkowicz Orchesters mag das Wort von Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach stehen: „Aus der Seele muss man spielen,…“ ergänzt durch die Überlegungen Arnold Schönbergs: „Es ist nicht das Herz alleine, das alles Schöne, Gefühlvolle, Zärtliche und Bezaubernde schafft, ebenso wenig ist es allein das Hirn, das das gut konstruierte, klar Organisierte hervorbringt. Das Herz muss dem Kopf nahegerückt sein“. In diesem Sinne stellt der neugegründete Klangkörper das direkte Konzertereignis ins Zentrum seines Schaffens. Das Vermitteln von Zeit und Raum von Musik, der großen Kunstform, die der Rekreation bedarf.
