Scientific discovery and critical thinking goes often hand in hand with unorthodox thinking akin to artistic approach. Bukolika 2025 will attempt at creating an ecosystem and infrastructure that will contain both.

This year we decided to extend the program with an unprecedented number of debates, lectures, workshops and walks on topics related to ecology, agriculture, interspecies ontology, biogeomorphology, hydrogeology as well as safer space.

(live) is a sonic shaman, a channel of living sound and voice. Her live performances are portals — dimensional crossings where music becomes medicine and the voice speaks the language of the soul.

(AV show) focus on tightly interwoven audio-visual performances rooted in experimental sound and immersive scenography. For Bukolika, they will present a site-specific AV show.

Combining self-made warps of sound design and noise with twirling beats Dilian creates jumpy high speed and chaotic tempo chopped motives that result in illogical sequences of beat-full and beatless wacky soundscapes.
zzzzzzz b2b .changes Each a torrent of their own, they are drawn together by the motivation to surf the flow of the freshest dance music.

builds his live and DJ sets on raw motifs, shaping a dense atmosphere. Distinct textures and unfolding leftfield constructions, rooted in the essence of techno.

explores the playful edges of club music through offbeat rhythms, sparkling melodies, and leftfield selections. Her sets combine curious gems from different eras into vibrant, body-moving narratives.

His selection covers various forms of leftfield electronics from downtempo, dubstep to breakbeat, jungle and farther away. Sky is the limit.

focuses on resonance, field recording, and organic sound textures. Her sets oscillate across a wide tempo range, from meditative ambient and downtempo beats to trance, electro, techno, and psy.

is a revered figure in the Czech bass and drum & bass underground, celebrated for heavy low-end and intricate, off-kilter frameworks. His releases showcase dense yet spacious production rooted in bass history and forward momentum.

Her selection is usually defined by a higher bpm rate where dreamy synths meet broken beats and heavy bass with a touch of dancefloor euphoria.

akuyaku (live) brings you an underworld hyperpop that blends dark R’n’B, mutant techno and pulsating industrial. Her gothic melodies blend with rap to create a unique soundscape where Paris Hilton meets mythical creatures.
xyz (live) Somewhere between computer music, deconstructed club, algorave and post-internet art, nesso (aka Francesco Corvi) has been carefully shaping a signature style made of twisted rhythms, noisy textures and hyperactive visuals.

(live) His sonic aesthetic lies close to somewhere between sleep and visceral paranoia, concentrating psychosis - like sonic attacks in tightly knotted representations of melodrama.

Originating in the genres like dubstep or grime, his selection is hallmarked with a focus on the broad gamut of contemporary club sounds which shy away neither from joyful experimentation nor from eclectic rave extravaganza.

His sound can be described as bass-heavy and percussive, layering drums over sci-fi soundscapes while oscillating between polyrythms and 4x4 patterns, both in own productions and DJ sets.

embodies the multi-layered nature of Japanese pop culture. These experiments trampoline between J-pop to choral music, jazz to chiptune, bootlegs to spoken word, delivering inexpressible emotional layers.

visi0n (live) Ancestral Vision’s music is a deep melting pot of hybridized club forms, self-collected field recordings and both alien and organic textural sound design.
nanu (live + dj set) draws inspiration from post-internet aesthetics, microtonal music, neoclassical themes, and video game nostalgia, mixing these elements with playful MIDI manipulation and collage-like sound design.

(live) is a creator of audio and imagery, who retrieves invocations of sound design from another world. They are known for cutting edge sonics, surreal world building and wild live performances.

There is a method to our madness just like there is are elementary forces that form the eye of the storm out of the chaos of weather - an underlying principle, a code, a secret formula, an algorithm and a founding myth ⛈️

Ours is a strategy that a lifetime is a shared time and that every regime and protocol which restricts and punishes is a neurotic one - always afraid of breaking rules it has imposed itself on itself and on others. But life is and should be about breaking free - that is the most genuine protocol of all.

So, people, on Jul 25-27, we’re taking down the Bastille of sound 🆓

It is sometimes difficult to differentiate between the authentic and the not - between the x-washing marketing strategies concealed behind big words and ideals and the true value of those words, between the people who walk the walk and those who use their walk to talk.

Although we might be sometimes accused of using those words way too often, we hope that their potential doesn’t fall short of their impact. You see, you can stretch any material, if you knead it long enough. You can break any stone, if you place it on a beach to erode. Same goes with words - you can exercise any ideal, if you aim at it and if you are not afraid of or biased against it.

We make their meaning. It is in the making. Not behind some Platonic cave, but in your own hands and heads.

Long story short, established as a modest event for our closest friends in 2017, Bucolica gradually became an annual forest rave and festival near Přelouč, Czechia, which welcomes people of all convictions, genders, ethnicities, and races, who are willing to respect and help each other to experience the palpable beauty of togetherness while bathing in the musical waters of the Bucolica lagoon.
