BUKOLIKA 2027 n͜͡e͜͡w͜͡ ͜͡b͜͡e͜͡g͜͡i͜͡n͜͡n͜͡i͜͡n͜͡g͜͡
We owe you all an apology and explanation, because you are the ones who helped us build the fortress of our bond no one can conquer and conceive things we couldn’t even imagine we were capable of.
Why is Bukolika not happening this year?
Well, it’s safe to say it entered a sort of middle-age crisis. The wooden serpent of 2025 didn’t come full circle and bit the fire horse of 2026 instead. It stampeded leaving a scorched earth behind. And us too.
In other words, Bukolika 2025 was a peak year for us, but it was also an opportunity to meditate - while the festival was from all aspects a success, after almost a decade, we found ourselves on the ground of accumulated exhaustion.
So, we stood at the crossroads - should we keep pushing and grow despite the damage and drag our own corpses for the sake of traction and transient clout?
We decided that a a gaze deep inward into the abyss of a gap year is the option.
Why?
To stay consistent, to appreciate the community we built, to reward ourselves with much needed rest. Also, to rewire how we function and operate - to keep things fresh and cutting-edge. To create a precedent that growth is not always the way.
Having done all that and having debated for hours, we have formulated a new code of how we want to do things.
Stay alert, as we have used the gap year to stay prescient - to blueprint where the future lies and to plan ahead, to define the new era beyond the orbit of our imagination and to find the new center of our gravity.
We are sorry it has taken us so long to explain ourselves, we realize we have broken some hearts along the way, but things that should prevail take time to mature and be articulated.
We are looking forward to a new decade with you, to a new life and radiant future full of ideas and full of hope that you will embrace and populate the edifice of Bukolika we so dearly hold in our hearts 🌁
