www.thedramaqueens.cz The Drama Queens is a university student based company founded in 2007 with the purpose of studying, rehearsing, and performing plays in the English language. Originally a school subject at the Pedagogic Facility of Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, designed for improving spoken skills in foreign language, it gradually transformed into an independent drama club, however, the educative principle still remains.

LES MISÉRABLES

Our most ambitious project — developed over two years and returning after four — comes alive again on the stage of La Fabrika!

In this adaptation, we bring to life the all‑time classic by Victor Hugo: the miseries of the French Revolution, poverty, heartbreak, moral dilemmas, love, and redemption.

Expect the signature Drama Queens style — highly visual, physical, and carefully crafted. We’ve poured every bit of our hearts into it and can’t wait to show it to you again!

At Drama Queens, we return to Animal Farm because this story refuses to stay in the past.

It starts with promises — fairness, dignity, change.
It often ends the same way: power concentrated, voices controlled, revolutions turning into the very systems they opposed.

Prague’s March cultural program just got a little more…Orwellian🎭

The play is based on George Orwell’s 1945 novella originally published as Animal Farm: A Fairy Story. Do not be fooled by the subtitle. It is no children’s material; its imagery is wholly bleak, and its humor is dark, if not absent at all.
