Cimrman English Theatre is one of the most successful, and well-attended, English-Speaking theatre companies based in Prague. We work under the auspices of Zdeněk Svěrák, the estate of the late Ladislav Smoljak, Agentura Echo and the Járy Cimrman theatre. Our aim is to present and perform, respectfully, the works of Jára Cimrman in English at what is now the home of the Czech Cimrman theatre.

Thank you for all who came to see LONG,WIDE and SHORT-SIGHTED; it is becoming an increasingly popular show.

We at Cimrman English Theatre would like to wish Mr. Svěrák many happy returns and many congratulations on his 90th birthday.

We hope he has a wonderful day spending time with family and friends; and, of course, much of the nation as the special anniversary performance from the Žižkovské divadlo Járy Cimrmana will be streamed to cinemas throughout the Czech Republic.
