🟧 The final day of dok.incubator was dedicated to showing the incredible journey our selected projects took during this intense week of editing, mentoring, rethinking, evaluating… and editing again!

🟢 We can't wait to watch these projects evolve even more, and we look forward to helping them build effective distribution and marketing strategies alongside top industry experts at our second workshop in Kutná Hora.

🟨 Our session in Banská Štiavnica was the first to run with AI note-taking across every feedback round.

Feedback is deep and fast-moving at dok.incubator — tutors, observers, fellow teams, all in one room. So we're piloting a custom AI integration to transcribe it live. Nothing gets lost now: filmmakers can instantly revisit their notes, generate mind maps , and map out clear next steps for their film, even after the workshop.

🔵 What doesn't change are the creative decisions. Those always stay with the teams — and each team's notes stay their own.

🔵 The extensive six-day development program of the 1st session of dok.incubator 2026 is officially over!
Eight teams pushed their rough cuts further, sharpened their dramaturgy to reach national and international audiences, and built smarter distribution strategies for their film projects.

🎬 The first day of the 1st session of dok.incubator 2026 was packed full of screenings, new faces & familiar ones, and spirited discussions.

8 projects received first feedback on their rough cuts, with fresh eyes from participants, observers, and tutors alike. Debates were striking and didn't end until goodbyes at the welcome party, with the beautiful scenery of Banská Štiavnica in the background. 🥂

🏆 Huge news from Odesa International Film Festival!

Congratulations to director Yuliia Hontaruk, editor Roman Liubyi, producer Katarina Krnacova & the team of To Die To Live (developed at dok.incubator as Company of Steel) on their festival triumph the 17th Odesa International Film Festival! 🎬✨

Following its emotional premiere at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, we are thrilled to see this extraordinary project continue to gain international recognition.

The film brings vital visibility to the story of three young Ukrainian civilians who fought to protect their country in 2014, worked tirelessly to adapt back to civilian life, and were called back to the front lines during the full-scale invasion in 2022. 🇺🇦

We are incredibly proud to have been part of their journey! 🔥
