Sezóna 2025/2026 je u konce a my bychom rádi u této příležitosti poděkovali vám, našim divákům, za skvělou energii a za to, že jste večer co večer plnili hlediště. Vaše přízeň pro nás znamená opravdu mnoho.

Ve středu 24. června si připomeneme nedožité 80. narozeniny Vlastimila Harapese.
Vzpomínkový den zahájí slavnostní uložení jeho ostatků na Vyšehradském hřbitově, které ve spolupráci s Baletem Národního divadla uspořádala mecenáška ND Renata Sabongui. Odpoledne bude program pokračovat v Kině Lucerna setkáním HARAPES – Pocta legendě českého baletu, které nabídne přednášku choreoložky Lucie Dercsényi, diskusi s rodinou, přáteli a kolegy i projekci dokumentu Vlastimil Harapes: Neobyčejné životy.

Záběry z hlavní zkoušky choreografie Who Cares? evokují pulzující atmosféru New Yorku třicátých let minulého století – místa, které se stalo Balanchinovým domovem i symbolem moderního světa.

Na pozadí ikonické siluety mrakodrapů ožívá nezkrotná energie manhattanských ulic. Elegantní kostýmy z dílny francouzského výtvarníka Françoise-Noëla Cherpina vdechují celému dílu uvolněný šarm a dobovou noblesu. Balanchinova neoklasika tak získává neobyčejný švih, lehkost a čistou radost z pohybu.

The main rehearsal for the choreography Who Cares? evokes the vibrant atmosphere of 1930s New York – a place that became both Balanchine’s home and a symbol of the modern world.

Against the backdrop of the iconic skyline of skyscrapers, the untamed energy of Manhattan’s streets comes to life. The elegant costumes by French designer François-Noël Cherpin infuse the entire work with a relaxed charm and period elegance. Balanchine’s neoclassical style thus gains extraordinary verve, lightness, and pure joy of movement.

Výtvarná podoba kostýmů a scény pochází z dílny módního návrháře Karla Lagerfelda, který ji v roce 2016 vytvořil pro Pařížskou národní operu. Jeho koncepce je hluboce inspirována vídeňskou secesí a estetikou přelomu 19. a 20. století. Spojení čisté neoklasické linie George Balanchina s principy haute couture slibuje podmanivý vizuální zážitek na jevišti Státní opery.

The main rehearsal for the choreography of Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet reveals the exceptional visual elegance of this work, which will be presented as part of the production Who Cares?.

The visual design of the costumes and set comes from the studio of fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who created it for the Paris Opera in 2016. His concept is deeply inspired by Viennese Art Nouveau and the aesthetics of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The combination of George Balanchine’s clean neoclassical lines with the principles of haute couture promises a captivating visual experience on the stage of the State Opera.
