A new mosaic by Jan Lukeš, part of his “Shards of Joy” project Mozaikum, recently appeared on a small wall next to the Poliklinika Budějovická bus stop in Prague 4 Praha 4.

Titled “Není voda, není život” (“There is no water, there is no life”), the work highlights the importance of water and the need to use it responsibly.

“River of Eternal Protections and Actions” by Matyáš Maláč created as part of BRNO ART OPEN 2026, a contemporary art festival in urban spaces.

The mural reflects on how to preserve one’s own imagination in an age shaped by digital systems, algorithms, and the constant flow of images.
Instead of focusing on machines, the artist turns to the body, intuition, and inner experience.
The painting resembles a kind of “library of the body”, made up of layers like skin, pores, or protective shells, with fragments of inner landscapes appearing within them.
