Lord of the North. Just too impressed with these creatures to stop on one post.

Did you know that:
- northern deers have a bone in the heart to make it stronger

-deers eat grass in summer and yagel (moss) in winter

- to grow fast their horns are connected to blood flow through two major arteries and pretty much any wound to them while they are growing leads to deer's death

- males keep horns through the mating period while females till the child is born

- deer herd consists of ~400 females and only one male who mates with all of them during mating season!

Do not feed the deer. Well, actually you can, if you are brave 🙂.
