The last day of the festival was bittersweet 💔✨ We said “see you later,” NOT GOODBYE, to the maestro , who after 20 years of teaching gave his last official workshop for 😭❤️

The modern bachata community doesn’t always realize that without Alex, many of us probably wouldn’t have had the chance to dance bachata in every city across Europe 🌍🕺 He organized one of the very first major bachata festivals, helped raise several generations of your favorite stars ⭐, judged enormous social dance competitions 🏆, that helped launch the journeys of so many bachata dancers. He also continues to manage many of the world’s most famous bachata artists 👏

As an educator, Alex did one of the most important things for bachata: he taught people how to dance cleanly, musically, and SOCIAL DANCEFLOOR FRIENDLY🤝🎶 so everyone could enjoy the best possible social dance experience 🙌 A skill that, sadly, our community has been slowly losing with fewer true educators on the scene.

With Alex stepping away, the bachata world is losing part of its soul 💫 But we promise to do everything possible to bring him back, even if only for one more workshop 🥹🙏

We love you, Alex! Thank you for everything ❤️
