Almost everybody has a story. A story about human kindness or a story about hatred.
In order to understand the project, you must first understand that we are all different in some way or other, not in a bad way like some may perceive, just different.
Original study Painting by established artist Gray Fairweather. Hand-signed in a wooden frame. This lovely original piece of art would make a great addition to any interior.

Sometimes we don't realise that we are part of the ongoing issues, so why not be part of the solutions, every little helps no matter how small.

Recent and past events have lead me to a certain crossroads in my life, a lot of close friends have been affected by racism, prejudice and hatred on all levels, be it physical or mental, the suffering sometimes becomes unbearable for some and a routine for others.
I think it's important now, especially at this time, that we all have a voice, it does not matter your background, religion, skin colour or anything that certain people use to segregate us, we all have a voice and we all need to use it and not just think about it, thinking is not doing, use what you have to make yourself heard no matter how small it may be.
UNITY is more powerful than anything.

When you others, you do not them, only yourself.

When you show prejudice or hate, is it because you somehow relate? Love, Respect & Unity.

If we look into ourselves further, we will see each of us is a unique human being, yet why is this ignored when it comes to the fundamental forefront of humanity in the sense of Love, Respect & Unity.
Our own self-being is sometimes placed in the hands of others, or so we think, but I asked myself a question one day, which most at some point may have done. What can I do to influence others around me and why me? Or rather I should have asked, why not me?
I remembered being a child, the pureness of a child's thought is so far from seeing the perceived differences within each other regarding bad connotations. It never entered our mind that a person who looks or behaves different is somehow seen as different in the eyes of others, in a discriminatory way.
Only through understanding later, through influences around us, do we begin to see what most of us perceive as being different. As we move closer to teenage years and adulthood we begin to reflect on things that were not apparent to us, developing what we think is an understanding of the differences in religious beliefs, skin colour, s*xuality, mental health and the human condition but yet do we truly understand?
There is no doubt we are evolving in regards to technology but yet we seem to be taking steps forward and then again backwards in regards to humanity and the understanding of each other. Are we not all abstract human beings? Are we not all unique? The answer is yes. Yet somehow we don't see this and we continue, in some form or other, to segregate each other further by the use of denomination. We are able to witness most situations or events that appear to us, this should give us the perfect opportunity to learn, not just about others, but our perceptions of the self.
As human beings, our minds are so far from what we call perfection and we have much we can learn from the realities that face us, from each other, our brothers, our sisters, in difficult adverse situations. People talk about a lack of information regarding issues. This is certainly not the case. More like a lack of education or understanding. Only through teaching and truly understanding, can true and lasting happiness, satisfaction and peace be found. I am not trying to solve the hatred or blindness that comes from within, just perhaps give more of an understanding to how it is.
Most people do not know why they hate or discriminate and most people who do are more often than not alone or just want to belong, yet I would say this; We are all abstract human beings, no one person the same, is not hating someone different actually hating yourself? Lack of understanding/education or in some cases perhaps fear through the perception of others creates the illusion of segregation in all forms.
It is here I came to realise the idea, the idea to create an abstract exhibition that does not just speak to the public about the issues but also educates in some way.
