Widely considered the pioneers of the remote immersive movement, Candle House Collective creates theatre experiences that put audience members – often one at a time – at the heart of the story. Surreal, psycho-dramatic, and heartfelt, Candle House Collective’s deeply interactive performances plunge audiences worldwide into high-agency encounters. Our signature remote shows can be experienced from

the comfort of your own home, and taking part is usually as simple as picking up your mobile phone. Called “the Twilight Zone of immersive theatre,” we have been featured in The New York Times, Vulture, Broadway World, and Thrillist, and have been internationally recognized by festivals like IndieCade, FIVARS, and Denver Film.

Our Work

Created in January 2018 by Evan Neiden, Candle House Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that creates and produces original immersive theatre. Our interactive experiences place participants at the heart of narrative-rich, visceral realities.

We create remote experiences – unique offerings which do not take place at a physical venue. They are curated alternate realities conveyed entirely via phone calls, text messages, etc; and thus can be fully experienced by anyone in the USA or Canada, from the comfort of a participant’s own home. Participants interact with characters and make meaningful choices, influencing narratives and exploring layered alternate realities. All you need is a phone.

We are committed to meaningful, boundary-pushing storytelling as a conduit for personal understanding and social impact; crafting emotionally transformative work in service of self-exploration, q***r expression, and human connection, from one end of the line to the other.
