Tohle se nám nepíše úplně lehce, ale po letech provozu budeme v průběhu září končit na Americké.
Důvod není jeden. Problémy se nám skládaly už delší dobu — stav budovy, neustálá udání, kontroly všemožných úřadů, opakovaný dohled policie a nakonec i zákaz hudební produkce ze strany stavebního úřadu. Byli jsme zkrátka „někomu“ trnem v oku a poslední měsíce už to byl spíš permanentní boj než normální provoz.
Časem jsme si museli přiznat, že dáváme strašně moc energie někam, kde už moc nevidíme šanci, že se něco zásadně změní.
Nechceme z toho dělat žádnou srdceryvnou story. Americká byla dlouhá a důležitá etapa, ale všechno má jednou svůj konec. A všechno zlé bývá k něčemu dobré — budeme mít víc prostoru a energie na New Mōō a další věci, které máme před sebou.
Rozhodně ale nezmizíme bez rozloučení. O víkendu 18. a 19. 9. se s Americkou rozloučíme, takže 𝙎𝘼𝙑𝙀 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘿𝘼𝙏𝙀. Další info k rozlučce i k tomu, co bude dál, vyhodíme brzy.
A za vaše zážitky v komentářích budeme vděční. Za ty roky jich tam vznikla spousta a my jsme byli u toho — přátelství, hudební i pracovní projekty, nové lásky, rozchody, náhodná setkání a tak dál a tak dál.

This isn’t exactly easy for us to write, but after years of running the place, we’ll be closing our Americká location during September.
There isn’t just one reason. The problems have been piling up for quite some time — the condition of the building, constant complaints, inspections by all kinds of authorities, repeated police checks, and finally a ban on any music events imposed by the building authority. We were clearly a thorn in “someone’s” side, and over the past few months, running the place had started to feel more like a constant battle than normal day-to-day operation.
At some point, we had to admit to ourselves that we were putting way too much energy into something where we could no longer see much chance of things really changing.
We don’t want to turn this into some heartbreaking story. Americká has been a long and important chapter for us, but everything comes to an end eventually. And every cloud has a silver lining — we’ll now have more time and energy to focus on New Mōō and all the other things we have ahead of us.
But we’re definitely not leaving without saying goodbye. We’ll be saying farewell to Americká on the weekend of September 18–19, so 𝙎𝘼𝙑𝙀 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘿𝘼𝙏𝙀. We’ll share more info about the farewell and what comes next very soon.
