🇬🇧 This year, as part of our Horror Cinema, we have an absolute bombshell prepared for you – an EXCLUSIVE SCREENING of the new film from the workshop of American horror icon Eli Roth – ICE CREAM MAN! The screening will take place on Thursday, August 6th at 9:00 PM – the very day of the official Czech premiere.

The capacity for the screening will be strictly limited, and admission to the film is restricted to ages 18 and older.

🇬🇧 Thy Art Is Murder's album Hate (2012) defined modern deathcore and dragged the genre out of its underground clutches straight onto the main stages of major metal festivals. On this record, the Australians masterfully combined uncompromising deathcore aggression with technical precision and distinct elements of death metal, complemented by massive, genre-defining breakdowns, creating a textbook blueprint that the scene still draws from today. Tracks like "Reign of Darkness" became instant anthems for a whole generation of metalheads, and the album as a whole proved that even extreme, nihilistic blast-beat onslaughts can possess captivating dynamics, a great sound (thanks to Will Putney's production), and massive commercial success, opening the doors to worldwide recognition for the band.

🇨🇿 Album Hate (2012) od Thy Art Is Murder definovalo moderní deathcore a vytáhlo tento žánr z undergroundových tenat přímo na hlavní pódia velkých metalových festivalů. Australané na této desce mistrovsky skloubili nekompromisní deathcorovou agresi s technickou precizností a výraznými prvky death metalu, které doplnili o masivní, žánrově definující breakdowny, čímž vytvořili učebnicový blueprint, ze kterého scéna čerpá dodnes. Skladby jako „Reign of Darkness“ se staly instantními hymnami celé generace metalheads a deska jako celek dokázala, že i extrémní, nihilistický sypanec může mít uhrančivou dynamiku, skvělý zvuk (díky produkci Willa Putneyho) a obrovský komerční úspěch, což kapele otevřelo dveře k celosvětovému uznání.

Once again, you can look forward to a diverse musical selection of alternative genres. Ambient, industrial, noise, dark folk, psychedelic, dark rituals and performances, dungeon synth, harsh noise, EBM, as well as industrial techno, digital hardcore, and synthwave. As always, all of this will run until the early hours of the morning.

🇬🇧 Eternal Nightmare by Vio-Lence (1988) represents the absolute peak and essence of the most aggressive, technically precise, and fastest wave of Bay Area thrash metal. In the context of the band's discography, it is an unsurpassed debut that defined their identity through the brutal guitar interplay of Phil Demmel and Robb Flynn, machine-gun drumming, and the utterly maniacal, barking vocals of Sean Killian—together creating a sound that Vio-Lence was never able to replicate with such full force again. Within the broader genre, the album serves as a textbook example of crossover-infused thrash that rejected the contemporary trend of softening or commercial calculation. Instead, it delivered seven uncompromising anthems packed with breakneck riffs, unexpected twists, and pure street rage, indelibly cementing its place as an absolute genre classic alongside the works of Exodus or Slayer.

🇨🇿 Eternal Nightmare od Vio-Lence z roku 1988 představuje absolutní vrchol a esenci té nejagresivnější, technicky nejpreciznější a nejrychlejší vlny thrash metalu z Bay Area. V kontextu diskografie kapely jde o nepřekonaný debut, který definoval jejich identitu brutální kytarovou souhrou Phila Demmela a Robba Flynna, kulometnými bicími a naprosto maniakálním, štěkavým vokálem Seana Killiana, což dohromady vytvořilo zvuk, který Vio-Lence už nikdy nedokázali v plné síle zopakovat. V rámci žánru pak toto album funguje jako učebnice crossoverem šmrncnutého thrashe, který odmítl tehdejší trend zjemňování či komerčního kalkulu a namísto toho naservíroval sedm nekompromisních h***n plných krkolomných riffů, nečekaných zvratů a čistého pouličního vzteku, čímž se nesmazatelně zapsal mezi absolutní žánrovou klasiku vedle děl od Exodus nebo Slayer.
