Boardcubator Boardcubator is an indie boardgame studio based in Brno, Czech Republic Boardcubator is a board game studio based in Brno, Czech Republic.

Founded in 2015 by enthusiastic board gamers Jan Soukal and Marek Loskot, the studio quickly became one of the leading studios in the Czech Republic in the crowdfunding tabletop field with titles such as Project L and Space Race. After half a decade, Boardcubator has five crowdfunding campaigns under its wings, a dedicated team that creates unique board game experiences, and a strong vision of how to create board games.

Designing games starts with loving games, so we kicked off a new monthly Play Day dedicated to playing, talking design, and trading wild ideas.

This month’s trip took us star-side with SETI—a theme close to our hearts thanks to our first-ever game, Space Race. It was a lot of fun! Kudos to our Czech colleagues over at
