✨ Day 8 – Body, Nature & Integration 🌿📸
We started the morning with yoga, giving space to stretch, breathe, and arrive fully into the day. Then the energy shifted with a fun Czech dance energizer — learning polka and mazurka, laughing, moving, and feeling the group spirit come alive 💃
Later, we stepped into nature for a “Walking Map”—a guided, somatic group walk designed to clear the mind and process emotions. Instead of thinking or photographing, we focused on feeling: our steps, our breath, our bodies in space. It became a kind of open-air meditation, helping us release “brain fog” and reconnect with ourselves in a simple, grounding way 🌿
In the afternoon, we moved into a deeply personal reflection through the “Spirit Collage” activity.
Participants created a three-part visual story of their journey:
• Past – a drawn symbol representing how they felt at the beginning
• Present – a found object capturing who they are now
• Future – a handwritten sentence expressing who they are becoming
These elements were turned into a digital collage—a powerful, visual reminder of transformation, growth, and intention.
We also connected physically with nature—finding objects that resonated with our emotions, touching them, grounding ourselves, and symbolically releasing tension. Some captured these moments through simple, intimate photographs.
We closed the day in a circle, with breath, calm, and sharing—holding space for each other one more time.
💭 Day 8 was about integration—bringing together body, mind, and experience into something we can carry with us beyond this project.
Mindful Photography is a youth exchange that brings together young people from Bulgaria, Czechia, Finland, Georgia, and Ukraine to explore photography as a tool for awareness, self-expression, and connection. We are developing this journey with our wonderful partners:
ENGY - European Nexus for Georgian YouthY
Active Bulgarian Society
Center for Euroinitiatives
Porin kaupunki - City of Pori
The project is co-funded by European Union.
