Sometimes you fall in love with a painting immediately, even though you have no idea where it will go at home.

That is no reason to walk away from a work that truly speaks to you.

Very often, the right place reveals itself later. A painting may move from one room to another, change the familiar arrangement of a wall, or unexpectedly become the centre of the space, even though you first imagined it somewhere completely different.

⛵️ There is something special about the ships created by Philip Philippou.

Each one is made by hand, with patience, care and an incredible love for detail. Small pieces of wood become sails, masts and tiny vessels that seem ready to begin their own journey.

Philip finds inspiration in the sea and in natural materials. Sometimes the shape of a future ship is already hidden in a piece of wood, a stone or even a nutshell. The artist simply helps us to see it.

Small in size, but filled with a whole world. ❤️
