We at Art&Shock Gallery have started preparing a new exhibition — and it’s going to be a truly big and special event. Together with the group “Animals in Cyprus – information, problems, help” we are creating a project where art and charity come together for those who cannot ask for help themselves — animals.
🎨 Exhibition “ONCE BY YOUR SIDE” — 20 June – 5 July
🎉 Big charity evening — 20 June at 18:00
The exhibition will feature five bright and very different artists:
• **Kubanychbek Ibragimov (Kyrgyzstan)**
A renowned artist whose works combine the East, echoes of medieval Europe and the contemporary world. You can literally feel the hot wind of deserts and steppes in his paintings, the fine architectural lines and a special, slightly enigmatic atmosphere of dream and anticipation.
• **Olga McNamara (Cyprus)**
An artist who has travelled from French Impressionism to Abstract Expressionism. Inspired by Po***ck, Rothko and Joan Mitchell, she always puts colour, form and emotion at the centre. Her works are powerful, deeply personal states expressed through abstraction.
• **Elena Drobysheva (Ukraine)**
A watercolour artist whose works are filled with light, air and a sense of quiet happiness, yet always hold a subtle note of sadness and anxiety, like a fine shadow behind a bright day. Gentle colours, sky, grass, the living breath of nature — her watercolours travel across the world and remain in private collections and galleries, easily recognised by their delicacy and dreamlike quality.
• **Olga Shipilova (Soleil, Cyprus)**
An artist from an artistic family, in love with watercolour. Life in Cyprus and its landscapes are an endless source of inspiration for her. Her works are light, transparent, with a distinct “sunny” mood, making watercolour her primary artistic language.
• **Timur Khayrullin (Cyprus, Limassol)**
A painter and iconographer with an academic background, experience working in Greece, and many years of life in Cyprus. His world is a blend of classical painting, iconography, architecture and the landscapes of the island. He paints church interiors, creates icons and contemporary works where tradition meets the present day.
The exhibition will present painting, watercolour, graphics and original works, and on **20 June at 18:00** there will be a big charity evening:
• a large sale of ceramics, handmade toys and decorative objects — **all proceeds** from these sales will go to support the group “Animals in Cyprus – information, problems, help”
• a share of the proceeds from the sale of artworks will also be donated to help animals
• acknowledgements and thanks to the volunteers and friends of the group
• buffet, champagne, live music
• lottery
• workshops for children and adults
