We are very happy about the screening of our recent film "Put the phone down - PTPD" at this year's Q***r Wave Film Festival. Our film will be screened at NiMAC (the Nicosia Municipal Arts Centre) on the 28th of September at 19:00. 🙌🏽 ✨

Jorge, in a more general context, represents a q***r individuality with various concerns and worries. In particular, in the film, he represents the consequences of social exclusion, social anxiety, isolation, "doom scrolling" and the institutionality of electronic love. The cat, as in my previous films, is used as a symbol of anarchic will, of unconventional thought, and as an energy that can mobilize. It is a prompt for acceptance, revelation, and liberation. 🏳️‍🌈 🐈 🕺🏼

"I AM AN ALIEN" Short film is screening at Int'l Short Film Festival of Cyprus on the 11th of October 2023 at Rialto Theatre - Θέατρο Ριάλτο.

The film unfolds Junio's personal emotional and social concerns as an immigrant who due to the civil war in Sierra Leone was forced to move and look for a better future in Europe.
Junio arrives in Cyprus and faces several bureaucratic and social problems while waiting for his asylum application to be examined, which is a right for every human being. I met Junio in a devastating psychological and physical condition in the street near the neighborhood where I live. I helped him as much as I could and we soon developed a friendly relationship. We shared many times our concerns about various social issues and how we could make a better world. The film is a cinematic poem
of feelings and experiences of Junio, an anti-hero of the margins.
It aims to send a message against the hostile entrenchment of xenophobia, the relentless criminal treatment of immigration by the state's mechanisms, and the racism we experience in Cyprus.

Logline
Sahand and Navid Gholipour dive into a dream, crafting their mystical relationship with their Totem.

Synopsis
An Observational journey around the process of creating wooden spinning tops by the craftsmen of the Love n Light studio in Limassol (Sahand and Navid Gholipour). The two brothers live and work in the city of Limassol. Their intense relationship with nature and natural materials, their imagination, and their need to create, give an organic dimension to the production of the spinning tops. The short film approaches the stages followed by the two craftsmen from the idea to the production. From the search for driftwood in the forest, finding the appropriate trunk shape, imagination, ideas on paper, and planning on how to give rotary motion to and apply their wood crafting techniques. The cinematic images spell-craft a parallelism of kinetic movement, rotation, and the sequence of life.
