Reaching The Limits is back for its third edition, continuing its exploration of boundaries in musical expression. This time, composers are invited to work with an unusual combination (clarinet/bass clarinet, double bass, drums), a combination that creates a hybrid sonic landscape that blends contemporary classical practice with a jazz - like aesthetic. The aim of the initiative is to highlight contemporary musical creation in Cyprus and expand its reach to a wider audience. At the same time, through open rehearsals and workshops for students and young musicians, the program promotes the educational aspect of contemporary music and fosters a deeper connection between the audience and the compositional process.

Postcards from My Homeland
📍 ARTE Music Academy (Basement)
📅 Wednesday, 17/12/25

An immersive sound installation and live clarinet performance celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Cyprus. Blending traditional Cypriot melodies with contemporary electronic soundscapes, the project invited audiences into the sonic heart of the island—exploring its musical identity with nostalgia, warmth, and curiosity. 🇨🇾🎶

Grateful to the incredible artists who brought this journey to life:
🎼 Composer: Nasia Therapontos
🎵 Performer: George Georgiou (clarinet / bass clarinet)
🎙️ Narrator: Panayiota Papageorgiou
🎨 Visual Art: Theodoros Christoudias

Thank you to everyone who listened, felt, and shared this experience. 💛

✨ Thank You for Two Unforgettable Evenings ✨

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us for our two sold-out concerts in Nicosia and Paphos, marking a truly special beginning to our 2026 concert season.

Our heartfelt thanks go to violinist Lyusi Hovhannesyan and pianist David Anastasiou for their refined, expressive, and deeply moving performances. Their interpretation of works by Amy Beach, Eugène Ysaÿe, and César Franck created an evening of Romantic intensity and musical intimacy that resonated beautifully with our audiences.

We extend our sincere appreciation to luthier Marios Pavlou, whose generous support and craftsmanship enriched these concerts in a unique way. Providing Lyusi Hovhannesyan with one of his instruments and sharing insights into the art of violin making allowed audiences to experience the instrument’s voice in its fullest concert setting.

A special thank you to our wonderful hosts, the Telemachos Kanthos Foundation and Technopolis20, for their continued support of live music, and to our loyal audience whose enthusiasm filled both halls and made these evenings truly memorable.

Your presence, support, and love for music inspire us — we look forward to welcoming you again very soon. 🎶

But let's not forget the people with supported Lyusi and David during their Cyprus years; Robert Hochanessyan (violin) and Nicolas Constantinou (piano).
