«Εις τον Αέραν»

Το μουσική παράσταση «Εις τον Αέραν» ταλαντεύεται ανάμεσα στη ρευστότητα και την ουσιώδη ανταλλαγή. Αποτελούμενο από μια επιμελημένη επιλογή παραδοσιακών και παραδοσιακότροπων κυπριακών τραγουδιών, λειτουργεί ως μια δράση συλλογικής ανάτασης: ως ψίθυρος, οικουμενική προσευχή, συν-ήχηση και πάνω από όλα ως μια κοινή αναπνοή.

Για την Παγκόσμια Μέρα Μουσικής η εντυπωσιακή αυλή του πρόσφατα ανακαινισμένου Εθνολογικού Μουσείου (Οικία Χατζηγεωργάκη Κορνέσιου) μεταμορφώνεται σε σκηνικό όπου η ιστορία, η αρχιτεκτονική και η μουσική ενώνονται σε μια ατμοσφαιρική εμπειρία της σύνθετης κυπριακής πολιτιστικής ταυτότητας.

Η 21η Ιουνίου, ημέρα του θερινού ηλιοστάσιου, ξεκίνησε να γιορτάζεται στην Γαλλία το 1982 ως “Fête de la Musique” (Γιορτή της Μουσικής) και γρήγορα εξαπλώθηκε σε όλο τον κόσμο ως Παγκόσμια Μέρα Μουσικής. Βασική ιδέα του εορτασμού είναι η ελεύθερη πρόσβαση όλων στη μουσική ως παγκόσμια γλώσσα. Έτσι καθιερώθηκε να πραγματοποιούνται συναυλίες και μουσικά δρώμενα από επαγγελματίες και ερασιτέχνες μουσικούς σε δημόσιους και πολιτιστικούς χώρους που μένουν ανοικτοί πέραν του συνηθισμένου ωραρίου τους, χωρίς καλλιτεχνικούς περιορισμούς και με ελεύθερη είσοδο.

AMALGAMATION CHOIR AT THE LOUVRE 🇨🇾🇫🇷

We are incredibly proud to share that Amalgamation Choir is part of the landmark archaeological exhibition “Cyprus at the Louvre” / “Chypre au Louvre”, a major cultural event within the Cultural Programme of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026.

This is an important collaboration between the Deputy Ministry of Culture , the University of Cyprus , the Louvre Museum , and the CYENS Centre of Excellence.

Hosted at the Louvre Museum in Paris, the exhibition presents rare antiquities from the in dialogue with works from the Louvre’s own collection.

Through immersive digital technologies, ancient statues “interpret” traditional Cypriot songs that we recorded especially for this exhibition. For the first time in a European museum, visitors can hear 9 renditions of traditional songs from our homeland, Cyprus.
The songs were arranged for female voices by our artistic director and conductor Vasiliki Anastasiou and recorded and mixed by Mikaela Tsangari at Elbow Room Studio in Nicosia. .eu

We are truly honored to have our ‘modern’ voices resonate a glimpse of Cyprus’ living heritage alongside its ancient past in such an iconic venue. ♥️

The exhibition runs until 22nd June 2026 at the Louvre Museum, Paris. 🇫🇷

Our Amalgamation choir has been active since 2014 and since then it has brought dozens of women together, making friendships and working on various projects in Cyprus, Sweden, the UK, France, Turkey, Italy etc

Before our winter break, we are organizing something really really special for our members and a limited number of our beloved supporters and audience♥️
