The PDSFF Movie Journal is an engaging tool designed to help you evaluate films in terms of cinematography, as well as through the lens of intersectionality, encouraging you to consider whose stories are being told, and how they relate to systems of privilege and power. The result is an ideal notebook for any cinephile.

Το ημερολόγιο του PDSFF είναι ένα διαδραστικό εργαλείο που σχεδιάστηκε για να σας βοηθήσει να αξιολογείτε ταινίες από άποψη κινηματογραφική, αλλά και διαθεματική, ενθαρρύνοντάς σας να λάβετε υπόψιν ποιες ιστορίες αφηγούνται, και πώς σχετίζονται με το προνόμοιο και την ισχύ. Το αποτέλεσμα ήταν ένα ιδανικό τετράδιο και για κάθε σινεφίλ!

was completed for the 7th year! For 5 days we embraced the urge with care and decisiveness 🫂

We wholeheartedly thank the creators, volunteers, subtitlers, speakers, facilitators, Filmmakers4palestinegr, the workers of the festival and the workers of Cinobo Πατησίων who hosted us.

Above all, we thank you who filled the cinema hall for supporting us, being present, participating, speaking out and posing questions. Thank you for coming to find our ways together!

🐦‍⬛ Το ολοκληρώθηκε για 7η χρόνια! Για 5 ημέρες αγκαλιάσαμε το "επείγον" με φροντίδα και αποφασιστικότητα 🫂

Ευχαριστούμε θερμά τα δημιουργά, τους εθελοντές, τις υποτιτλίστριες, τα ομιλητά, τα συντονιστά, την ομάδα , τις εργαζόμενες του φεστιβάλ και τους εργαζόμενους του .patision που μας φιλοξένησε.

🐦‍⬛On Sunday, we held the last three screenings of this year's truly packed programme! We had the pleasure of having most creators present for the sets Toolbox for Disruption, Leaving Half of Yourself Behind and Love Through the Storm, that were followed by beautiful discussions facilitated by Alki Papastathopoulos, Athanasia Kouleta and Pavlos Paraskevopoulos.

🏆 The day ended with the much awaited award ceremony, where four awards were given!

🐦‍⬛Audience Award: Prelude to a Supernova by Christos Artemiou.

,🐦‍⬛Curatorial Team Award: Maps from Within by Christina Aguilera.

🐦‍⬛Honourable Mentions: Actually I didn't want to stay long, Prelude to a Supernova.

🐦‍⬛Best Greek Production Award: The Cafe Will Remain Closed by Anna Chrysanthakopoulou & Magdalini Alexandri.

🐦‍⬛Best Film: Aldi by Giorgi Arabuli.

🏆For the first time in history, a physical award was given to the winners!

🐦‍⬛Την Κυριακή, πραγματοποιήσαμε τις τρεις τελευταίες προβολές του φετινού πραγματικά γεμάτου προγράμματος! Είχαμε τη χαρά να έχουμε μαζί μας τα περισσότερα δημιουργά για τις προβολές των σετ Εργαλειοθήκη Ανατροπής, Αφήνοντας Πίσω το Μισό σου Εαυτό, Αγάπη Μέσα στην Καταιγίδα, τις οποίες ακολούθησαν υπέροχες συζητήσεις με συντονιστά το Άλκι Παπασταθόπουλος, την Αθανασία Κουλέτα και τον Παύλο Παρασκευόπουλο.

🏆 Η μέρα ολοκληρώθηκε με την πολυαναμενόμενη τελετή απονομής βραβείων, όπου απονεμήθηκαν τέσσερα βραβεία!

Friday 🌟
Two school screenings and two sets open to the audience!
Eat the Rich approached class-based conflicts and the discussion with creators was facilitated by Georgia Mpekridaki.
Building on Ruins followed with a vibrant welcome from the audience!

We dedicate this screening to Amen Sahraei / , Iranian director of A private message, who was supposed to be here with us tonight. Amen has been injured during the war against Iran started by the USA and Israel, in which the Greek state is not only complicit but as of yesterday openly participating. Tonight we stand with her and with all the innocent people of Iran. We need to say loud and clear that this is not our war, this is a war of capitalism and white supremacy and we must do everything in our power to stop it, both in our home countries and abroad, to pose our resistances against it and block the war machine. Solidarity to Amen and the people of Iran, death to fascism, no to wars.

See you today, with screenings and an open discussion about resistances at the edge of legality🧨

Δύο σχολικές προβολές και στο σετ ανοιχτά προς το κοινό!
Η προβολή Φάτε τους Πλούσιους προσέγγισε τις ταξικές συγκρούσεις και τη συζήτηση συντόνισε η Γεωργία Μπεκριδάκη.
Η προβολή Χτίζοντας στα Ερείπια ακολούθησε με ένα ζωντανό καλωσόρισμα από το κοινό!

Αφιερώνουμε αυτή την προβολή στην Amen Sahrei / , Ιρανή σκηνοθέτρια της ταινίας A private message, που θα παρευρισκόταν μαζί μας. Η Amen έχει τραυματιστεί κατά τη διάρκεια του πολέμου ενάντια του Ιράν που ξεκίνησε από τις ΗΠΑ και το Ισραήλ, στον οποίο το ελληνικό κράτος είναι όχι μόνο συνένοχο αλλά, από χθες, συμμετάσχει επίσημα. Στεκόμαστε μαζί της και με όλα τα αθώα άτομα του Ιράν. Χρειάζεται να δηλώσουμε δυνατά και ξεκάθαρα ότι αυτός δεν είναι δικός μας πόλεμος, αυτός είναι ένας πόλεμος του καπιταλισμού και της λευκής υπεροχής και πρέπει να κάνουμε ο,τι μπορούμε για να τον σταματήσουμε, τόσο στις χώρες μας, όσο και εκτός αυτών, για να θέσουμε τις αντιστάσεις μας εναντίον του και να εμποδίσουμε τη μηχανή του πολέμου. Αλληλεγγύη στην Amen και στο λαό του Ιράν, θάνατο στο φασισμό, όχι στον πόλεμο.

✨ 2nd day of the festival started with a morning screening for schools and continued with two afternoon sets!
Conversing with Memory opened discussions on origin, healing and imagined futures, in a Q&A facilitated by Myrto Symeonidou. Inside the Mousetrap talked about stories of resilience against everything that is crashing down on us in the discussion facilitated by .dim.koutava 🐦‍⬛

🍻It all ended with an intimate party at the cinema!

Στην προβολή Συνδιαλεγόμενα με τη Μνήμη άνοιξαν συζητήσεις για τις ρίζες, την επούλωση και τα φανταστικά μέλλοντα, σε μια συζήτηση που συντονίστηκε από τη Μυρτώ Συμεωνίδου. Η προβολή Παγιδευμένα μίλησε για ιστορίες ανθεκτικότητας ενάντια σε όσα έρχονται να μας πλακώσουν, σε μια συζήτηση με συντονισμό από την .dim.koutava 🐦‍⬛

🍉Positively Different Short Film Festival is proud to support and sign the pledge by the initiative Film Workers for Palestine, calling all filmmakers, festival and film workers to cease all cooperation with Israeli institutions, and take a stance against genocide. PDSFF has been, from the moment of its conception, a space dedicated to achieving freedom from oppression, justice, solidarity and equality for all.

🍉Therefore, Palestinian liberation and an end to settler colonialism lies at the centre of our politics and values, both as a festival and as individuals that make up our festival team. We are happy to take a stance on the right side of history, together with so many brave individuals, festivals and initiatives, alongside whom we strive for a better, more just world.
