A little piece of spring, made with joy. This beautiful spring mosaic was created by Yulia Yul 🍒 during the workshops at The Blue Cat Gallery. Spontaneous, colourful and full of life- just like the joy with Yulia created it. There is something wonderful in watching an idea grow piece by piece: choosing colours, changing directions, finding unexpected combinations and paying attention to every little detail. At the Blue Cat Gallery, there is no need to follow a template or make your mosaic look like anyone else’s. I am here to guide you through the technique, but your idea, your choice and your way of seeing are always in the center. You are free to experiment, to change your mind, to be spontaneous- and to create something that could only have been made by you.

How better to embrace the lazy end of August than through the spirit of Matisse? This mosaic is my tribute to slow afternoons, warm light, and the beauty of everyday stillness. Inspired by Matisse’s bold colours and love pattern, I combined hand-cut glass and ceramic to create a moment that feels both vibrant and calm.
