Step into a space where art meets science, memory, and myth.

Our current exhibition at Lumiere brings together the compelling practices of Anna Krukowska, Alicja Panasiewicz, Tomasz Dobiszewski, and Adama Panasiewicz—four accomplished artists from Poland whose works unfold like layered narratives across time.

Drawing on contemporary dialogues between art and science, the exhibition explores artistic practice as a form of speculative research. Materials such as metal, paper, photography, and video become vessels of memory—tracing stories that stretch from geological time to the urgencies of the present moment.

Through a striking interplay of image and text, the installation questions how knowledge is constructed. By blending Cypriot mythology with both real and fabricated imagery, the works invite us to reconsider what we accept as truth—and how meaning itself is formed.

We would like to warmly thank everyone who joined us at Lumiere Art Gallery for the exceptional talk by Philippe Villeneuve, organised in collaboration with Alliance Française Limassol as part of the Month of Francophonie.

As the lead architect behind the restoration of Notre-Dame Cathedral following the 2019 fire, Mr. Villeneuve offered fascinating insight into the challenges, architectural choices, and deep responsibility involved in restoring one of the world’s most iconic monuments.

The evening continued with a rich and engaging discussion, giving our audience the opportunity to ask questions and further explore this extraordinary project. It was a truly memorable moment at the crossroads of culture, history, architecture, and the transmission of heritage.

Thank you for sharing this special evening with us and for celebrating the spirit of Francophonie together.
