Το Συμβούλιο Όλων των Υπάρξεων

Κυπριακά τοπία, τεχνητή νοηµοσύνη, και στοιχεία µυθοπλασίας, συνθέτουν µια δυστοπική, σκωπτική µατιά στις ύστατες προσπάθειες ανθρώπων, ζώων και φυτών, να µάθουν να "σκέφτονται σαν βουνό", για να σωθεί ο πλανήτης, έστω και την τελευταία στιγµή. Μέσω µιας ποιητικής µορφής παρατήρησης, η ταινία στηλιτεύει την νόρµα της ανθρώπινης συµπεριφοράς απέναντι στα µη ανθρώπινα όντα, ενώ επιχειρεί ένα σχόλιο και για την ευθύνη των καλλιτεχνών.

SAJPPRES, the new film by Yiannís Christidis & Konstantinos Koukoulis is out, and awaiting its world premiere at Beldocs - Меđunarodni festival dokumentarnog filma, May 13th!

Cyprus is a divided Mediterranean country surrounded by water. About a million people from various communities live and resonate all over the island, with the film tracing everyday sounds as experienced by the inhabitants themselves. This documentary unveils the mosaic of multiple communities that Cyprus is, showcasing its extensive sound variety and, most importantly, revealing those social and political issues to which prominence is given through what is heard.

"𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝."
The second MediSouP Community Concert, "Healing. Listening to a Brave New World." is a hybrid event, held virtually and live, in Cyprus, Spain and Turkey. MediSouP brings together a selection of audio-visual works, presenting ways in which image and sound formulate the transcultural understanding of our present condition on a damaged planet. This special presentation foregrounds the power and agency of these visual and acoustic works to re-envision healing and deep listening in post-pandemic times of crisis. We wish to emphasise that profound changes in our acoustic landscape are filled with hope, care, and empathy in our sonic futures.

New call for Sound + Video Works! 👇👇👇

After the successful online concert titled “Unmasking. Experimental Sonic Practices” last March, the 2nd edition of the MediSouP, titled “Healing. Listening to a Brave New World”, will take place primarily in Cyprus with the addition of two more events, one in Spain and one in Turkey. This collective initiative illustrates the expansion of our network into more Mediterranean countries, which has always been one of our objectives from the start of this endeavor. We perceive the Mediterranean as multidimensional but also a unified transcultural region, not only mapping a geographical spatial and cultural perspective but also a sonic landscape filled with many collective multi-species voices. We hope that this is only the beginning of our sonic future/s and that more partners and Mediterranean spaces and situated perspectives will be added to our transcultural “soup”.
