🗺️ In the lands of hashtag , Giant Capybaras are a common mount, often cherished by their riders as beloved pets. Edgar, however, wasn’t meant for love. He was bred for duty and trained as a mount for the Royal Court from an early age. His purpose was clear: to serve, not to play or cuddle.

Over time, his natural warmth was buried beneath disciplined focus. He became loyal to Maxwell, an advisor to the emperor, who treated him with subtle kindness. Maxwell’s children, however, took Edgar in as a pet. They showered him with the affection Maxwell lacked and dressed him in fun outfits. Edgar resisted at first, but he began to soften and cherished their warmth in quiet moments. He never imagined he deserved this type of love, but here it was, embracing him.

But just as love entered Edgar’s life, it quickly left. After Maxwell spoke out against the emperor’s oppressive policies, he and his family were exiled. In a tragic twist, Maxwell’s children were lost in an invasion, and both Maxwell and Edgar were consumed by grief. Maxwell grew cold and fixated on vengeance, while Edgar became a painful reminder of the family Maxwell had lost. Even Maxwell’s subtle kindness faded, replaced by distance. He stripped Edgar of the outfits his children gave him and dressed him in spiked armor. Alone in his sorrow, Edgar returned to his disciplined nature.

Maybe he didn’t deserve love, after all.

The divide between Maxwell and Edgar only deepened with time. After the civil war broke out, Maxwell accidentally rode Edgar into an ambush. In the chaos, Edgar became trapped and squealed for help, but Maxwell was forced to retreat. He glanced back at Edgar one final time and said goodbye - not just to his mount, but to the memories of his children and the love they once shared. Edgar was left behind, forgotten as the ambushers pursued Maxwell.

Now, Edgar remains stranded, waiting - no, hoping - that he may still find a home in this cruel world.

Those of you who played version 0.3 in Early Access might have already met Mad Molly... Let's talk a bit more about her.

We all go a little mad sometimes, but for Mad Molly, it’s just another day in the life!

Molly grew up in an orc tribe under the Krade Empire’s reign. As she got older, discrimination against her people became routine. Emperor Krade exploited widespread prejudice against the orcs to shift blame for his failures. Molly’s breaking point came when the emperor scapegoated her tribe, imprisoning its men and elders for crimes they didn’t commit. Watching her people taken, she lost what little faith she had left in law and order. If the emperor could twist the rules, why couldn’t she?

Determined to protect the last of her tribe, Molly became a fierce warrior and leader, casting morality aside to ensure their survival. She even built a new home far from the empire's reach. Yet, one question never left her mind: What happened to the orcs Emperor Krade stole from her tribe?
Molly returned to the Krade Empire with a renewed purpose. By embracing the criminal underworld—literally, with bone-crushing hugs—she learned her orcs were scattered and imprisoned in unknown towns across the empire. To free them, she needed an army. She overthrew bandit leaders for resources and rallied the oppressed under promises of liberation. Transforming into the infamous "Mad Molly," she wielded chaos as her weapon to dismantle the empire’s order.

When the emperor fell and civil war erupted, Molly seized the chance to raid vulnerable towns, searching for her lost orcs while exacting vengeance on the empire. But as her hunt grew more desperate, it wasn’t just the towns at risk—she became obsessed with kidnapping Giant Capybaras! No one knows how the land’s capybaras grew to such size, but Molly believes they hold the secret to creating powerful war beasts. She subjects them to painful experiments, using dark magic to enhance their aggression and turn them into monsters for her cause.

Mad Molly’s conquest won’t end until she finds her orcs. Can the heroes rise to the challenge and stop her madness before it’s too late to save their beloved pets?

Did you love blowing soap bubbles as a kid? Cute, right? But did you know it can be a formidable weapon? Meet the new Hero of Everbright!

Bublin is a squeaky-clean wizard dedicated to the art of magic and bubble-blowing. From childhood, he detested dirt and grime, preferring bubble baths to cleanse away everyday filth. Realizing the mystic arts could help create a cleaner world, he turned to street performing to fund his magical studies. He dazzled crowds with his bubble-blowing prowess, and his playful persona charmed audiences into being generous with their gold. Bublin used his earnings to acquire spell books and ingredients, spending decades training as a skilled wizard.

But Bublin's greatest challenge was yet to come: wiping away the filth of the civil war. As rumors of betrayal spread, the streets of the Krade Empire became a battleground for combative lords. Maxwell’s forces set Bublin’s beloved stage ablaze, and his treasured bubble-blowing wand was reduced to ashes. Fueled by rage, Bublin used his bubble-blowing skills to wash away the fires of Maxwell’s conquest.

Shifting from performer to warrior, Bublin repaired his wand and crafted a unique fighting style that blends bubble-blowing with spellcasting. This unorthodox tactic surprises enemies and lowers their guard. While some view his methods as goofy, beneath his eccentric exterior lies a master strategist whose whimsical facade masks formidable power.

If anyone can clean up Everbright’s mess, it’s Bublin.

Today, we are excited to introduce you to another heroine from the Everbright universe.

Moira, Fortune’s Hand

Fortune favors the bold, and no one deserves it more than Moira. As a young elf, she explored the mystical side of Everbright. While searching for scrolls in ancient temple ruins, she discovered a hidden spark of power, a divine gift from the gods of a bygone era. This spark granted Moira the power of foresight, but whether it was a gift or a veiled curse remained to be seen.

Moira channeled her foresight into card readings that predicted prophetic omens, delighting the townsfolk of the thriving elf settlement of Elmbrook with promises of love and luck. Fortune smiled upon Moira until the grim day her omen cards foresaw Elmbrook’s downfall. Her warnings led to panic. In a desperate attempt to maintain peace, the elders expelled Moira, hoping to force the hand of fate in another direction. But the die had already been cast.

The fall of Elmbrook became inevitable when the tyrannical human emperor banished other races. He unleashed his legions upon the settlement like a fiery storm. All was lost.
Moira’s expulsion spared her from this fate, but she was left without a home. She became a traveling omen card reader, earning her livelihood from her divinations. Always on the move, she concealed her elven heritage from the human empire. But in a twist of fate, the emperor met an untimely demise, sparking a brutal civil war for control of the land.

As towns burned, Moira resolved to use her ambiguous readings to prevent another settlement from suffering like Elmbrook. But now she faces a critical choice. Will Moira follow Maxwell, a devious lord promising a unified future? Or will she ally with Stella and Captain Broad, two underdogs standing up to overwhelming odds? For the first time, Moira must draw the cards to reveal her own destiny.

Meet Your New Best Friend

Capybara!

You may know capybaras to be adorable, heartwarming creatures who like to graze on grass and lounge in relaxing waters. But the capybaras in hashtag are so much more! These capybaras boast impressive sizes, perfect for carrying travelers across vast distances. Some will even carry heroes and run bravely into battle! Or, at least they run bravely toward the refreshing pond that awaits them on the other side of the battlefield. The capybaras in Everbright have bigger bodies, bigger attitudes, and—most importantly—bigger appetites!
These capybaras didn’t grow to become rideable mounts overnight. A divine power breathes through the land of Everbright, and the capybaras were fortunate to receive its blessing. They gradually evolved into larger, more fantastical versions of themselves. Finally, they were tall enough to nab fresh apples off the high branches!
The capybaras inhabit grasslands and forests, often near fresh water. They developed close bonds with nearby human settlements, who frequently offer them treats like melons and plants. And who can say no to free snacks? But one human in particular forged an unbreakable bond with these animals: Shiloh, an orphan from the forest. Shiloh suffered a near-fatal encounter with bandits. Gravely injured, Shiloh thought they were done for until they noticed a large capybara wandering their way. The capybara sensed Shiloh needed help and carried them to the nearest town. Upon arriving, Shiloh found a new community, and so did the capybara! The townsfolk saw how delicately the animal carried Shiloh, inspiring them to train these gentle creatures to bring people on journeys far and wide.
Today, it's common to witness people from this town riding capybaras, who love being rewarded for their efforts with more delicious treats. With a whole world to explore, riders continue to build strong bonds with these captivating and endearing creatures. The capybaras in Everbright may not be the noblest of steeds, but they are the cutest!

Let's introduce you to Redd.

📜 Some girls fear the beasts who stalk the forests of Everbright. Redd used to be one of them, only ever feeding the stray puppies who begged for treats from her picnic basket. She considered this harmless until a pack of ravenous wolves caught their scent and followed Redd home. They attacked in the dead of night, ransacking the town for leftover food. When they came for Redd’s basket, she grabbed an axe and bravely fought off the wolves. She awakened the inner beast within herself, saving the town—and the puppies!
Redd’s heroic act drew the attention of a group of warriors who don animal-themed armor to embody the primal strengths of nature’s fiercest hunters. While this formidable clan admired Redd’s courage, joining them was no easy feat. Redd had to first prove her place at the top of the food chain by outsmarting wild beasts with only her hands and wits. Rising to the challenge, she conquered animal after animal until she earned her place as a true apex predator. Now, Redd walks through the forest confidently with the prowess of a wolf. It’s the beasts’ turn to fear her.

When the line between good and evil blurs, Maxwell believes the end justifies the means. Will his ambitions save or destroy it? Learn the gripping story behind Maxwell below!

Maxwell’s heart beat with unwavering loyalty as he devoted years to the human empire’s council. An astute and measured man, he found comfort in the warmth of his friends and family. He forged alliances with other, non-human races to build a peaceful land for all. The emperor often sought Maxwell’s counsel, but his advice fell on deaf ears when it mattered most. Consumed by paranoia, the emperor banned other races from human settlements. Maxwell worried this would destabilize Everbright, but when he voiced his concerns, the emperor cast aside his once-trusted advisor.

Exiled, Maxwell and his family found solace in an elf settlement. His wife and children befriended the elves, nurturing bonds that crossed racial divides. But Maxwell couldn’t escape the emperor’s harsh crusade against non-humans. The emperor’s forces invaded the elves’ home and claimed Maxwell’s family in the brutal clash. That evening, Maxwell stood surrounded by the echoes of loss as he buried those he cherished.

Grief wore on Maxwell like a heavy cloak. It fueled his resolve to build a new future free from the emperor’s oppressive rule. Over the years, he silently amassed his own army and waited for the opportune moment to act. That moment arrived with the sudden demise of the emperor—whether by the intervention of fate or by Maxwell himself remains an enigma. Regardless, Maxwell seized the chance to take control. Now, standing at the precipice of power, Maxwell must ask himself: Can he achieve his goals peacefully, or is peace only possible when preceded by chaos and war?
