Day 3️⃣ marked the close of Limassol Art Walks 2025, what a magical celebration of art in motion. 🛥️

This year’s edition saw our city’s historic centre pulse with creative energy, welcoming visitors from Cyprus and beyond to connect with artists and cultural spaces in a fresh way. In collaboration with Art Explora Festival curated by the Island Club, Limassol Art Walks opened up new avenues for expression and sparked meaningful conversations about the present and the future of our city. Thank you Christodoulos Panayiotou , Androula Kafa and every one of your collaborators for all the amazing work with Art Explora Festival.

🙏We’re deeply grateful to all the participating galleries, artist-run spaces, and nonprofits your enduring contribution has helped shape Limassol’s cultural landscape for years.

We are delighted that this year brought so many guests and participating spaces from abroad, enriching our networks of artists and enthusiasts while reaching wider audiences.

DAY 2️⃣ and the attendance was phenomenal!

Thank you to everyone who joined us across the participating art spaces, venues, and initiatives in Limassol. Observing art, connecting, and sharing your experiences is what makes our city so vibrant and relatable.

A big shoutout to all of our participants and to the Parallel Programme of “Right to Home: Diaries of Limassol’s Gentrification”. Part of

An afternoon of art, dialogue, and reflection. We walked through the exhibition with the participating artists and curator, tracing stories of place, memory, and change. The open discussion on gentrification and culture at EKA Group Parking became more than a conversation, it was a shared reckoning with how art, community, and urban transformation intertwine. A powerful reminder that creativity can hold space for both resistance and renewal, and that the cities we build reflect the values we choose to uphold. These conversations matter because they shape how we imagine and fight for more just, accessible and inclusive cities.

The live concert featuring Limassol icons and talents: Something Messy, MUSHA, Mava, ΚαππαΧι + Nocs became a collective heartbeat, holding space for the complex conversations our cities demand, while opening new spaces of care and connection within us.

And yes what an amazing dance party at Tapper Bar to wrap up the night moving to the beats of extraordinary DJs and all of you! 💃🕺

Today marks the final day of Limassol Art Walks 2025, and we encourage you to explore any spaces you may have missed and complete this wonderful journey. Another walk through art, community, and creativity.

Through each moment, the day unfolded the stories of our city and still found room to open new spaces within our hearts.

Because showing up and supporting artists and their endeavors is itself a form of resistance.

See you all around!

🏝️The Island Club presents: “the pretext of painting”: Variations on the Collection of Ivi Meleagrou

🍷Limassol Municipal Arts Centre — Apothikes Papadaki

📍Stathi Street Dead End & Christodoulou Papadaki, Limassol 3036

🛥️Part of Art Explora Festival

ℹ️An interactive exhibition inviting visitors into the personal art collection of seminal Cypriot author Ivi Meleagrou (1928–2019). Featuring works by modern/important/influential Cypriot artists, alongside prints, reproductions, and embroideries, the collection reflects the author’s deep affinities with her contemporaries and her singular approach to collecting. Visitors choose items from a catalogued list to be retrieved, displayed, and taken back into storage, generating an exhibition in constant flux.

🔵 , ,

The exhibition was developed in conversation between Christodoulos Panayiotou and Androula Kafa from The Island Club, curator Evagoras Vanezis, and architect Eleonora Antoniadou, who also oversaw the architectural and scenographic design. It is activated through the performative interventions of Ria Alexandrou, Belinda Papavassiliou, Eva Papavassiliou, Elena Savvidou, and Melina Sofokleous. Graphic design is by Adonis Archontides. The cataloguing of Ivi Meleagrou’s collection was carried out by Evagoras Vanezis and Kyriakos Theocharous, while Atelier de Papier – Paraskevi Loizou undertook the cleaning and preventive conservation of the works. The exhibition was made possible through the guidance of Eleni Meleagrou and the collaboration of Yorgos Taxiarchopoulos, Artistic Director of the Limassol Municipal Arts Centre – Apothikes Papadaki.

With special thanks to Eleni Meleagrou and Lefteris Papaleontiou for kindly granting the rights to the timeline of Ivi Meleagrou’s life and work, and to Belinda Papavassiliou and Petros Konnaris for their help in developing the performance score.

The exhibition takes place in parallel with the “Room of Ivi Meleagrou”
