My artwork is born of my emotional response to the world around me. I endeavor to capture precious moments in time, as my senses perceived them, and to share those all too fleeting impressions with the viewer. My eye is attracted to color, shape, shadow, and I pay particular attention to the intricate play of these elements in creating bold design in the scenes I paint. I often explore new pigments in each work of art, and many of my colors are custom blends or they come from layers of glazing and are unique. I commit nature inspired scenes to canvas and I am happy to share my paintings. I am not just delivering an image or an idea, but sharing my passion, my โlove affairโ with my work. I wish to create feelings, to travel between the gestural movement, the colours and figures if suggested. Art is a powerful agent of change.
