Cuban Visual Artist Alan Manuel González, since 1986 My paintings are the result of the unavoidable circumstances that surround my daily life.

They are metaphors denouncing the social, political and spiritual ailments of my present condition. I use a lyrical language to give voice to my vicissitudes and to the outcries of my fellow countrymen. My discourse is a non-elitist. It is to be easily understood by ordinary people who are immersed and confronted with a crude reality. The reason for painting this imagery wrapped in a veil of beauty is to offer redemption to those that contemplate it, trough the messages contained in it.
